Huang Clear Acrylic Large Cake Plate with Cover

Great quality Huang Acrylic cake keeper, nice style, clear acrylic, decorative base is very pretty. Wash in warm water and dry immediately to avoid water spots. This acrylic can scratch, so I store it in the big plastic cover it came in. The cake dome fits properly snug on the bottom so cakes will keep fresher. Just put a completely cooled cake on the base and put the cover over it, no twisting or anything that can break like the Nordicware cake keeper. I would not put a hot or warm cake on the base, it might crack like the Nordicware cake keeper, too much money to waste. The outside of the base is 13 inches wide, the inside of base bottom where a cake will stand is 11 3/4 inches wide from side to side when measured at the center bottom, this is because the base slopes. The inside cake dome at the bottom of the dome is 11 3/4 inches wide, the inside of the cake dome at the very top where the top of the cake will sit is 9 inches wide, because the dome slopes. The inside dome height is 5 inches, so a frosted layer cake would have to be no higher than 4 3/4 inches high to fit. Depending on the height of your iced layer cakes, a 8-9-10 inch round cake could fit. 8-9-10 inch cakes made in springform or bundt pans should fit.

Great size, but the acrylic has to be handled like glass (I have granite counter tops and tile floors) because if you handle this rough, the acrylic will crack/break. I am tempted to buy another because it fits in my fridge for chocolate or cream cheese cakes - huge cake pan that can handle two large layers or three easily. Only concern is the the lack of flexibility, I used gorilla glue to attach the ball back to the top and didn't have any problem. However, I couldn't use gorilla glue to attach the break in the cake cover, so handle with care.

I was really impressed by other realistic looking plastic, so I decided to give this cake plate a chance. All I can say is WOW! When I opened the box my mouth dropped open. It looks more realistic and beautiful than all of the pictures I have seen related to it online. I also thought it would be a lot smaller for some reason, but it is HUGE! It is just perfect in every way and I will definitely be getting more as gifts!

Love it. It's everything I hoped it would be. It's a heavy acrylic but much lighter than glass. Easy to clean and wipe dry. Looks attractive and classy. I have a bunt cake in it as I write.

I bought this for my wife who is a prolific baker. The product is as advertised, and after a month, has stood up well to heavy use and repeated washings.I'd recommend this to anyone.
