I love this thing!
This enclosure may be all you need. For the price, I highly recommend this for overnight camping while traveling. Having no tent poles or stakes, it literally takes about 30 seconds to set up and allows plenty of room to stand, sit in a folding chair, cook in the "tailgate" area, get dressed and, of course, it offers the privacy to poop in my 5 gallon bucket with toilet seat. I spend very little time actually inside my vehicle when I am camping on the road. I usually pull my Toyota Sienna into the chosen spot, attach the Add-a-Cabana to the rear of the roof rack with the two velcro straps , unfold my camping chair and I am pretty much set in less than a minute or two. I have a 1/2 bed in the Sienna itself for sleeping and the Add-a-Cabana gives me just enough room to not feel oppressed by the low interior of the Sienna. The Add-a-Cabana website pictures are terrible. They need to take some time and iron the fabric or something but don't be put off by the frumpy visuals. Also, the nylon fabric is not super heavy duty but seems adequate and this may be something of an advantage as it packs up into a small bag. (And remember that this unit costs only about $89). It you have a Sienna you might want to check out the "Mountain Pop Tops" site for some slick bed, kitchen, and pop-top options for the interior of your rig. I plan on ordering the 1/2 bed option to replace the camping cot that I now use. Their bed takes maybe 20 seconds to set up and folds nicely out of the way behind the 3rd row rear seats when not needed-allowing full use of your rear seats in 20-30 seconds. Considering the price, the ease of set-up and take-down, and the functionality, I think the Add-a-Cabana has been a wonderful choice.

Its OK. that's about it.. and a little pricey for what it is.
It is what it is.. put a thin cloth in between your paint and the magnetic strip cause it will scratch TS out of your car if the magnets move around.

Great idea, flimsy execution
Was searching for a way to do an overnight in my SUV (full size Range Rover). Sleeping in my RR is easy by taking a seat out but changing clothes and a stand up solar shower is hard without a privacy add on. The Cabana looked like the answer. The concept is awesome and I just cannot believe more vendors are not competing in this space. The attachment of the Cabana works well, magnets worked great but what really let me down is the quality of the construction. The seams are absolute crap, flimsy and with a bit of wind are already starting to separate. Also, the omission of a Velcro or zippered drop down window is glaring. It would have been so easy to do this. The privacy aspect of the Cabana is great but after you change your clothes, shower or do any of your private things you naturally want to let in a little light or get some fresh air out the back. There is no way to do this, no zipper, Velcro opening at all. Dumb. The Cabana is not cheap for what it does. Cheap fabric and what looks to be ironed on seams without heavy stitching. The manufacturer is making a huge profit on this thing. Honestly, if other vendors were competing in this space $39 would be the price for this. Still, I commend them for the idea and really wish other vendors would come out with a better version of this. And for obvious reasons, never, ever start your engine with this thing attached.

Good quality for the price
We purchased this to use with our Subaru Outback for a short road trip—so that we could stop for the night in state parks along our route and sleep in the vehicle. It worked perfectly! There was even enough room in the cabana to set my portable potty. The material is not heavy duty, but for the price it works fine. We'll be using it again.

Great for car camping
This is my second Add-A-Cabana. The first one is still fine. I just purchased a second one as a spare. I sleep in my car at bluegrass and folk festivals and the cabana gives me a place to stand and change clothes, put a port-a-potty, sit in the shade, etc. It is almost like having a tent attached to your car except that it is quicker and easier to set up. My car is smaller than an SUV or minivan and the cabana is made to be attached to them so I have excess material but it still works fine. I am totally satisfied with it.
