Fixed my chair
I am a 59 year old woman who was sad because my favorite chair broke. I was able to fix it by myself with this part and a couple of youtube videos. THANK YOU!

Great Quality
Exactly what I needed. Very easy to install and works great! Fast shipping and excellent quality. Works exactly like the original version that came with my recliner. Better quality than the original one.

Easy to install, cheap fix, works fine
Even if your couch handle looks like this and is the same outer diameter, it may not fit without forcing the handle into place. If you find that to be the case, I recommend returning and trying a different brand. Yes, you can mallet it into place, but these are breakable (I broke one this way, and I wasn't whacking it with a lot of force). After replacing the new one that I broke during install, I was much more careful the second time around and it worked fine. The first time I replaced a handle on this couch, the replacement I picked out went in without needing to be forced. I didn't re-purchase that brand because it was more expensive at the time, but ultimately it would have saved me money compared to breaking one and then buying a second. Despite their fragility with respect to mallets, these seem to be much better quality than the cheap plastic that came with my couch. I'm not concerned the handle itself will break, which is how both of my older handles went. The only mildly complicated part is running the cable through to the bottom of your couch. It is hard to line it up with the opening, and for me there just wasn't space to reach up there. I sliced the liner, because the couch was cheap and I don't care that much. If it was a nicer couch, I would not have been willing to do that. In hindsight, it might have been better to attached a string to the old unit and pull that string through the handle opening from the bottom while pulling the old unit out. That would have allowed me to pull the new unit through using the string, hopefully making it easy to get it through the hole in the lining without slicing anything. Of course, that only works if that portion is still intact (in my case the handle broke, the rest was fine).

Installs easily using only a screwdriver.
Great price and easy fix. Handle was metal and cable was just right length. Cable is adjustable to easily adjust for different applications. Used similar couch as a reference for installation.

Great solution to broken cable-Fixed our reclining sofa!
Confirmed the dimensions as best I could, and it matched by sofa well within acceptable tolerance. It was difficult to measure the exact length of the exposed part of the cable since the cable had snapped and frayed. The ability to adjust the length helped. It was straight forward to install. Now, the recliner works fine. The metal handle is far better than the original. It was a cost-effective way to repair the recliner functionality. I highly recommend this solution.Do remove the handle and cable assembly first and take measurements to confirm the handle assembly properly fits the recliner, the cable is long enough, and the exposed part is within the range.
