This review is for Gemini Sound CDM-4000BT Stand Alone Bluetooth Streaming Professional DJ Dual Deck Media Player Mixer. I just received the item recently, so I can't speak to how long it will last, but I like what it is doing now. I am a beginner on one if these. So when it asked how many stars for beginners I give it 5 stars because I was able to figure it out from the documentation. I tried a whole lot of its features, and they all worked as advertised. This is not a sophisticated DJ mixer like a high priced professional might buy, but it is also not priced at the point that other guy might buy. But even though it is not that high priced item, it has a lot more features than I was expecting or even knew about before I bought this. I found really neat items like just by moving the fader, you can start a media playing. And it plays a lot of different media. I just needed a good CD player and I got so much more. So I am very impressed with this item and if just continues to work as it currently is, I am going to continue to be a happy camper.

I am a Ballroom DJ and still using CD's . I have some music on a computer but just can't seem to find the time to download the decades of music. They discontinued the controller I have been using for years so I saw the Gemini and decided to give it a try. It came on time, perfect packaging and sounds great!

I have been programming a radio show from home since the covid lockdown a couple years ago, and when I started I just threw together a rig with a cheap little mixer and a couple non-matching portable CD players, thinking it would tide me over until I got back into the station. Well, two years later I'm still doing my show from home, and that little rig, as functional as it was, was not fun. So it was beyond time for an upgrade.The Gemini Sound CDM-4000BT is a huge upgrade, to say the least. It does everything I need to program my show on the fly. It's solidly built for "pro" use, easily operated for anyone with basic soundboard and mixing knowledge, and it sounds excellent... for the most part.As a low-budget audiophile, sound quality is a priority for me. The CD players and general electronics of the CDM-4000BT sound excellent, and that is by far the most important thing for my use. However, the sound of the Bluetooth input is definitely underwhelming.I sometimes use my iPhone as a source, but the Bluetooth connection on the CDM-4000BT sounds muddy and flat. I tried to compensate by boosting the treble, but that only made it sound muddy and flat with boosted treble. Maybe ok for podcasts or spoken word recordings, but not music imho. It's also a bit disappointing because the cheap little $50 mixer was using had excellent Bluetooth sound.For my use though, I can get along great without the Bluetooth input. Or I can just use the cheap little mixer as a Bluetooth receiver and run it through the CDM-4000BT. In fact, the only reason I'm docking the CDM-4000BT one star is that the Bluetooth input is listed as a feature. So be advised if that feature is important to you.Otherwise I highly recommend the Gemini Sound CDM-4000BT. It's well-built and delivers excellent (non-Bluetooth) sound, at a reasonable price.

I've already used this as a DJ. As with my past Gemini products this worked as expected.

No creo que sea un equipo profesional para DJs, debe ser tomado como un juguete para poner musica. Yo soy J profesional y lo probe, me dejo tirado 6 veces al detenerse la reproduccion repentinamente. Se que pueden pasar cosas por el estado mismo de ls CDs pero los mios estan en muy buen estado. Estos errores se dieron siempre en el lector del plato derecho. No habiendo mas opciones en el mercado vale la pena comprar el equipo pero siempre teniendo a mano un plan B.
