One of a kind. Nostalgia and the holidays go together as well as turkey and cranberry sauce. For those of us, who love ceramic Christmas trees, fiber optic tinsel and fond memories of being a kid, this is the ultimate Christmas table runner. I don't everything about this special fabric, but I'll tell you want I do know. The top features a gorgeous high-quality screen printed design that has a distinctive 1950s look. The colors are vibrant, the print is beautifully graphic and the fabric has a tightly woven canvas-cloth feel, I believe it's cotton, but it may also be a linen blend because it absorbed moisture so beautifull. The creamy ivory ground becomes the body of charming snowmen and snow-women that line the edges of the runner and are separated by a vibrant red backdrop dotted with retro snow flakes. I think it may have been part of a long vintage table runner that was cut up later on. The quality is outstanding the colors are totally fast. I've added cushiony straight-line quilting and decorative scalloped borders with bright red French-fold binding and sweeping ovigal ends like the famous onion domes of Russia. The red is even darker and more vibrant in person due to the digital compression of this special long wavelength color. Backed with solid white broadcloth. This table runner measures approximately 16 inches wide by 37 inches long from tip to tip. Great for protecting for table and linens from hot dishes and spills. Hand wash and air dry for maximum durability. Soak in warm water and detergent to clean and/or remove stains. Iron on Medium or the "Wool" setting as necessary. Happy shopping!
