No more static on my phone line. It is my understanding that DSL comes into the home via phone lines along with other signals traveling along the same lines. The DSL filter separates out the high frequencies used for the high speed Internet from the lower frequencies used for devices such as the phone or fax. This eliminates the interference between the different frequencies that can cause lower internet speeds as well as static on the phone or fax. I connected the filter to the phone line going into my phone, not to the modem. It worked. This little filter eliminated the static on my phone leaving me a happy camper.
