Heat/Moisture Repellent Non Skid Portable Ironing Blanket Mat for Table Top Large for Quilting Sewing and Iron

This is not stable like an ironing board, so there is some movement when you place it on a table; however, it is exactly what I need for a small RV. I can quickly pull it out and easily fold it away. I love the velcro feature that allows me to easily roll it up and securely fasten it shut. I gave it 4 stars because the smell is awful. I had it in a place by my towels, but I had to move it because it made the towels have the same chemical smell odor. After I moved it, the problem was solved and I can deal with the smell. It is not so strong that it smells up the whole RV, so not a big deal for me. Overall, I am very happy with the purchase.

I do window displays for a living. Light weight and nicely sized, this pad is just what I've been looking for. Previously, I would bring a towel to a job to create a makeshift ironing board on any available surface. This is so much better than a towel. The non-slip back keeps the pad from moving around. This is much better than those magnetic pads. Although I am hesitant to put it to the test, I don't believe I could iron on a wooden table without creating a cloudy finish on the wood because I noticed some condensation under the pad when using steam. Other than that, this pad is perfect for my job.

I use this on my kitchen counter to iron when I'm quilting. It's got a non-skid backing, so it stays put. I get a great press and works great even with heavy steam. It rolls up quickly and has a Velcro self-closure, so it stores easily. When I'm ready to use it, it does not retain the curl, and lies perfectly flat. The top has an usual texture. It kind of grips the fabric. At first I wasn't sure if I liked it, but I noticed that no matter what I'm pressing, the fabric doesn't slide around on this pad. Turns out I really like it!

Some times I need to iron just one or two item, and plopping this down on the table is much easer than pulling out and setting up a big ironing board. But. The moisture repellent claim is a bit misleading. Moisture does not go through the pad, BUT the heat does go through and causes condensation to form between the pad and the surface it is laying on.

I want my ironing surface perfectly flat. This item was not ,due to top and bottom of sandwich not the exact same size. A quilter knows. I split the backing and rejoined it with duct tape.

We've moved from a larger home to a tiny duplex and now have no room to store our large ironing board. This pad is great. I was using a towel on my dining table for ironing and unfortunatly made a steam mark. With this pad absolutely NO steam can get through to ruin any surface you want to iron on. Then when you're done you just roll it up and it's so compact that unlike my old bulky ironing board I have room to store it!!

These Ironing pads are excellent in that they are both heat and moisture proof. I use mine on a wooden table and no steam or condensation goes through. I am very happy with these mats.

This was a gift for a friend that quilts and was pressing her blocks on her floor, she says it has made her life so much easier, (also got her a mini iron). She can just move the mat wherever she needs to use it and it saves her from using big bulky towels on her floor.
