again i am going to sing the praises of this manufacturer!!! they make a variety of scents that all have their own personality, but they dont have that harsh , fake smell that most perfumes seem to have---whether it is more floral, fruity, or even the exotic scents ...each one has its own subtle aroma that doesnt smack you in the face, but lasts quite a while---it comes out softly every time the wearer moves----again, i was able to get these at a lower price so i could try them and let you know what i thought---well, they stay consistant----this wearer of only essential oils and resins LOVES all the scents i have tried, and will be getting more so my supply never dwindles!!

This Sage fragrance set contains three trial sized vials of fine fragrance made from pure essential oils with no filler such as water and alcohol. For me personally, I insist on alcohol free fragrances, and generally do steer towards pure essential oils. My best friend, who passed away tragically two years ago, was a purfumer and fine incense maker. Now that he is gone, what little I have left of his perfumes and incense is all I will ever have. So I keep it for very special occasions!! I have been lacking a personal fragrance for a while...until I found this! These are the quality of my long lost friends' oils, which were outright magical. My friend, Randy David, traveled to Egypt and other amazing and exotic locations, maintained decades long friendships and business relationships with local families who's family was in, and had been in, for literally hundreds of years, the Amber or Sandalwood trade, for example. His oils were unique and precious because of the highest quality, rare ingredients he used. I intuited automatically upon smelling my first Sage fragrance that these pure perfume oils are like Randy's blends. These scents are very personal, mesmerizing, and meant to develop complex and beautiful scent memories, to tell scent stories about periods of time in our lives. Infact, I have to say I even felt synchronicity in how I found this brand. I came across it randomly and accepted an offer to try these three vials of fragrance at a discounted price in exchange for my honest and unbiased review. I resonated with the beautiful packaging upon seeing it, and noticing it was pure oil, I decided it was right up my alley. I am actually Very grateful. Fragrance is so important to me and I purposfully choose scents that emotionally match periods of life I am going through, knowing I will imprint memories of this time on to a particular scent.I wore a Vanilla oil for years that I bought at Curios and Candles in San Francisco, until the store closed down and I could no longer find that vanilla. The Blend of Five Vanillas in PEARL is the closest I have ever come to that scent. I fell head over heels immediately. It is a warm, soft, dry vanilla that is not too sweet and desert-like ("cake batter vanilla") and it merges perfectly with a likewise dry, smooth, and elegant sandalwood. This fragrance is feminine and dreamy. It evokes the feeling you get when the air turns crisp in the fall, a warm and delicate uplift, a cozy and tranquil looking forward to all our favorite creature comforts we relish like fresh warm laundry, fluffy new socks, cashmere sweaters, and a hot bubble baths by candlelight. TOPAZ is akso a warm, cozy, soft, and feminine fragrance. The blend is seamless. Rich, warm Sandalwood with a brief passing top note of crisp and sweet blood orange, and a smooth Vanilla and earthy Amber base. DIAMOND did bring a fleeting memory of Elizabeth Taylor's White Diamonds. A note of the same crispness must be involved. Diamond is a light scent, but at the same time, has serious staying power. It clings to clothes and hair in just the right way, softening down to each person's chemistry uniquely. Sandalwood meets Amber, with a base of Musk and a sparkling top note of Rain. Diamond is perhaps a little less "Me" than Pearl and Topaz, which I right away were PERFECT scent matches for me. I went ahead and ordered a second Sage perfume sampler set, this time the Earthy Scent Collection... and I am ordering full sizes of Pearl, Topaz, Garnet (watermellon, gardenia, moroccan rose, sandalwood-ahhh-mazing!), and Amber. I feel lucky to have found these, they are perfectly "Me", and I have been sorely lacking a Signature Fragrance for too long, due to the saddest circumstances. It must have been meant to be that I find these new and absolutely magical Sage perfume oils!

I follow several perfume blogs and have been aware of Sage Perfumes for awhile. I was so happy to see they were selling on Amazon as I've always wanted to try some of their fragrances. Perfume oils in general have a tendency to be a bit more subtle than traditional alcohol based perfumes. They usually don't have as much sillage but make up for it in terms of their complexity and longer wear (provided your skin is sufficiently moisturized).The Sage Perfume Oil sample set came in three 0.25 oz vials in what are described as soft, subtle scents. The first one I tried, Diamond, is an aquatic fragrance with a sandalwood base. This was probably my least favorite, but I usually don't like aquatic scents on my skin. Topaz is more of a traditional oriental with vanilla, amber and sandalwood. Very nice and got me lots of compliments! Pearl is very interesting. It's more of a soft floral fragrance but it definitely has a powdery dimension. I can't imagine anyone being offended by these fragrances, so they would be perfect for work or gift-giving.These are all very high quality oils. There were no off or funky notes, which you can sometimes get with "fragrance oils". Very happy to have tried this set from Sage perfumes and looking forward to trying additional scents from the line!
