I'd been searching for a device like this for ages, and this fits the bill perfectly. I do a lot of vlogging with an APS-C camera, but also like to include static landscape shots. I use a pistol grip whilst vlogging and a small tripod. So, I wanted a quick and simple way of swapping the camera between the two different mounts without having to unscrew the camera from the 1/4" threaded mounts on each. This product makes this process so simple - just pull out the lever on the side of the mount and wallah! The camera is released. I've bought two of these - one for the tripod and for the pistol grip. Now, instead of taking a minute to swap mounts, it takes just a few seconds. Ideal.

Great little quick release. I’ve put them on my video lights which makes it a breeze for moving them around. Works really nicely on the bottom of my gimbal too.

I bought one of these for my Tascam audio recorder, whose tripod socket is moulded into the plastic case rather than made of metal. I wanted a way to attach it to tripods etc. without repeatedly screwing and unscrewing it, to help preserve the plastic thread.The adapter has two locking mechanisms: a locking lever which firmly clamps the two pieces together, and a twist-and-click mechanism which can be used first. They are both very effective.Unfortunately for my purposes, the twist-and-click requires quite a lot of force: the two pieces have to be pressed together with a force of around 2 kg, which is more than I'm comfortable applying to the audio recorder. The risk of stripping the thread is replaced by the risk of bending a circuit board. So I'll probably only be using the lever mechanism—which does, however, clamp extremely firmly.Initially the clamping lever also took a lot of force to operate, to the point where I thought I couldn't safely use it with the recorder. But as mentioned in another review, there is a screw at the base of the lever for adjusting the tightness of the clamp. This takes a 2mm hex key (and can be adjusted whether the lever is open or closed, which is helpful). It was straightforward to find a position where the lever was comfortable to operate but the parts were solidly clamped together. Now I've done that, the quick release is quick and easy to use and I don't worry for the safety of the audio recorder. It's a vast improvement on screwing the recorder directly to a tripod.Overall I feel this was a good purchase. But I'd advise anyone buying one to make sure they also have a 2mm hex key and to be careful about using the twist-and-click action with anything that isn't robustly built.

me encanta, lo uso para el ronin sc2 para adaptar una barra de carbono que alargue el gimbal y a su vez poner el trípode y para no tener que estar enroscando y desenroscando descubrí este aparato que funciona perfectamente, no da ninguna sensación de que se vaya a abrir y a soltar, muy muy recomendado.

Il sistema di aggancio è molto pratico e robusto, e allo stesso tempo molto compatto.Costruito con una meccanica di precisione, e privo di qualsiasi gioco.Ho preso questo della Smallrig, per sostituire quello della Zhiun, che invece ha un gioco che non mi piace e che fa traballare il Gimbal, oltre che essere a rischio di tenuta.Questo è migliore sotto ogni aspetto.

I've been using SmallRig products for a while now. I recently ordered this quick disconnect to compare the quality against the Zhiyun quick disconnect I currently use on my gimbal. First off, the product arrived quickly as it was in stock and via Amazon Prime. When I removed it from the package, it was as-expected. It is a high-quality piece made from machined aluminum, hard-anodized black for durability and scratch resistance, and the two parts mate together with a precision fit. There is absolutely zero wiggle/play when the two parts are connected and locked. The locking arm also has a tension adjustment to allow tightening if the connection loosens over time. It is a thoughtful twist-lock design, and the arm serves as an additional lock. There is no way the two parts can separate unless it is intentional.This product is perfect for my Sont ZV-1 and other cameras that will have to switch from tripod-to vlog handle-to gimbal and back as quickly as possible. I will DEFINITELY be ordering more of these for each of my devices. I highly recommend these to anyone that is looking for an inexpensive quick-disconnect and needs a high assurance of security for their expensive camera gear.
