After weeks of intensive research, I bought this for my daughter for her birthday to use in her dorm room because most campus housing prohibits the use of candles (which she likes to use). I also like that essential oils have beneficial properties (relaxation, headaches, energizing, purifying, sinus relief) without the possible negative health consequences of synthetic scents (containing benzene, aldehydes, toluene and such) that are found in room sprays, candles, room deodorizers, etc.). You can control how strong the scent is and how long the diffuser runs by how many drops of oil you use and which of the two mist modes - constant or 30 seconds on, 30 seconds off - you choose.IMPORTANT NOTE: This diffuser takes air in through the bottom, so it can't be placed on a towel or anything soft that would block the air opening. This is not mentioned in the instructions, but we figured it out after my daughter placed the diffuser on a placemat and the diffuser started bubbling vigorously and stopped misting.The whole family loves this diffuser - even my teenage son that never notices anything - so we are buying another one once my daughter leaves for college and takes this one with her.PRO: - It is truly silent (this was a main selling point for me). - It turns off automatically when empty (most diffusers do, which is a reassuring safety feature). - It works great with regular tap water...although I like using distilled. - It is easy to fill, empty, and clean. - The water reservoir has a cover, which according to my "essential oil friend" is a must to keep the scent from evaporating. - I really like the profile of the Teo Aroma diffuser. It is neither tall and skinny nor short and squatty. (my own preference). - It does not take up a lot of space on the counter or table. - It is a simple design that blends in with more decor choices. - Made of ceramic and wood instead of plastic. - There are three light choices - on (soft light, could be used as a night light), meditation mode (gimmicky), and off. - Even the tiny on/off light goes off after a few minutes which is great for those individuals that like a completely dark room for sleeping. - It puts out a consistent fragrance, even when used throughout the night with the 30 seconds on, 30 seconds off mode. - There is NOT any oily or wet residue on the table or floor. I was concerned about the mist damaging the wood table or the oil making the floor slippery. Neither have been an issue.CONS: - We have not come across anything we don't like about the Teo Aroma. It has met or exceeded all of our expectations. - If you like the idea of having a diffuser with cycling, multicolor lights, this might not be as fun.

I own two of these lovely diffusers and just LOVE them. I was so excited when I got my first one because I think it is one of the best looking diffusers out there. I love that it is made of wood and ceramic. I find my plastic diffusers to be quite ugly and don't want to keep them out in my home. These look like decorative urns that accessorize my house nicely even when not in use. The functionality is amazing: One diffuser seems to fill my entire living room, dining room and even into my kitchen (wall separating from the rest of the house) with scent. The glowing light is so natural and peacful, unlike other diffusers I have that glow all kinds of colors of the rainbow. I love that the indicator lights go out after a period of time, on their own, so I can run it all night in my bedroom without the disturbance of the electronic lights AND it's silent - no beeps when you press the buttons. They really thought of everything! After having the first one for only a short period of time, I new I had to get the second. Now I'm considering a third!One note about the company and their customer service - they get a 5 star rating there as well. My first diffuser I had for a week when I accidentally and clumsily knocked it over and broke the ceramic top, leaving it unable to function. I contacted the company to replace the cover. I, very promptly, received an email from the owner of the company, Charles, who told me that they were out of the single ceramic pieces so I couldn't buy it by itself. He told me to place a new order on Amazon for a whole new diffuser and he would credit me back the difference. I did so, emailed him my order number, and he immediately issued me a credit. So he basically sold me a brand new diffuser for just the cost of the replacement cover. I am very appreciative of his prompt and simple solution to the problem and have a lot of trust in the company.

This is my second Pilgrim product having previously purchased a Sophia nebulizer. I truly appreciate the attention to detail on these products and the quality of the design and materials. I even appreciate the care they take with packaging; some places treat that aspect as a throw away, but if I have spent this amount on a product I appreciate quality in every aspect of receiving and using the product.So, the diffuser...I used to think diffusers were one and the same, but it turns out they aren’t. First of all, the Teo has a beautiful light that works similarly to the Sophia in that it has three options - on, on with a slow pulse and off. I particularly like the ability to turn the light on as a reminder to myself that the diffuser is on so that I eventually remember to turn it off...that said, with the 1-hr and 2-hr and continuous diffusing options I don't need to worry about forgetting to turn off the diffuser. My diffuser seems to have a backwards light indicator than what is indicated in the instructions, but I quickly figured that out.The diffuser itself has a silicone tube that directs the steam out the top of the device. This is a great function as there is no concern about buildup of moisture under the ceramic dome. However, I often have to adjust it once I have put the dome on as it just barely fits in the hole on the dome and is easily bent so that the end of the tube isn't entirely pointed out of the device. Additionally, the silicone tube itself has gotten stuck in the hole in the ceramic dome when I open up the device to refill or clean. This is not a major issue, but just something to be aware of if you think that might annoy you.The motor so far is completely unnoticeable and it projects the steam more than 2' out of the hole on top of the device. This seems to really help the diffusion reach more area in my home.Other than the two super-minor issues with the backwards light indicator and the silicone tube, this piece is functional, quieter than any other diffuser or nebulizer I have ever used and a beautiful and calming piece to look at.

Having researched many types of the diffuser on offer I settled on this one although it is not the cheapest the natural materials (wood and ceramic) give this product a more natural and luxurious look then perhaps all plastic varieties available. It is very quiet to run, easy to operate and I like the intermittent fragrance option allowing me to have the unit on for an hour but not on constantly. We have run the unit in our bedroom and it is so quiet sleeping is not affected. The mist is cool to the touch and the unit never gets warm which is great as we have it on a wooden chest of drawers which I was concerned about damaging but it doesn't even get slightly warm it stays cool the whole time. We have adjusted the intensity of the fragrance by the number of drops of essential oils we add rather than the running time of the unit and this works well. As I have said it is not the cheapest but it is well worth the extra cost it looks and feels like a quality item and it is simple to operate and is very efficient I would highly recommend it.If I was being ultra picky, and maybe helpful to the manufacturer, the only thing that would improve this unit would be if it was a cordless/ rechargeable unit so no wires on show or at least put the buttons by the power inlet so that when you turn the unit to hide the power cable the buttons can't be seen either, it's a small thing I would have liked the buttons not to have been on show as the shape and colour of the diffuser in itself is very attractive

I really like my Teo from Pilgrim Collection. This is an excellent diffuser for a small to medium sized room. The outer casing is made from solid hardwood and the top which sits on the unit is a porcelain type ceramic. It is matte finish and the interior light filters through it to give a soft glow to the diffuser in a dark room. The three operating lights shut off after a few seconds so that if you do wish to have a completely darkened room, even those small 3 lights remain off.I particularly appreciate that the plastic interior is a high quality BPA free plastic that will not disintegrate with the use of citrus oils. This is often a concern with people buying diffusers that have a plastic water container. The very top flexible directional spout it made from silicone. Another thing that is important is the design. Once the plastic top cover is over the water container, there is very little air that circulates around the water as the unit is diffusing essential oils, this will keep your oil fragrant and potent much longer than some other diffusers. This is an important design that I look for when purchasing a diffuser.The water container holds a little over 110 ml of water, but from personal experience, the smaller the container, the better and stronger your essential oils smell. Unless you are looking to humidify a large space, you should always look for a smaller compact water container which this unit has. Inintermittent mode, this diffuser continues to work for hours and hours on end.I have used many diffusers and some were made of plastic from top to bottom, and were cheaply put together. As the saying goes, you get what you pay for, the price of this diffuser is fair. The wood is real, the ceramic is real. (many other diffusers that say wood, really mean plastic that has a wood appearance.) I have been using diffusers for many years and this one is high quality.I did have an issue with my first unit and the hand crafted wood base. Since it is hand made and assembled by hand, the buttons were sticking and I needed to wiggle and carve out extra wood to make the electronics function properly. I am pretty handy so I didn't mind fiddling with the unit. The company did contact me to ask how my experience was with my diffuser and I told them that I did need to scrape and carve around the button. Immediately the offered a replacement. I accepted. Not only is the product excellent, so it the company and customer service.Pros of this diffuser-All natural materials on outer shell - wood and ceramic-Interior BPA free plastic which will stand up to citrus oils-Well designed water chamber that minimizes air circulation and oil disintegration-Small water chamber enabling you to use less oils to achieve strong diffusion-Always on feature or intermittent vapor, always on or 1,2,3 hour operation options.-Lights can be on, pulsing or completely off-Customer service of this company is A1Cons-since this unit is a hand crafted hard wood base, and not cheap industrial plastic, sometimes there could be a unit that arrives with sticky buttons because of the fact that the wood may not perfectly line up. But be assured that if it happens, Charles at Pilgrim Collection will help you and you will have immediate assistance.- I can't really see any other cons for the time beingYou will love this diffuser

I bought this diffuser to use in our living room/guest washroom as a decor item. The build quality is excellent with ceramic top cover and real wood base. Before purchasing I read some other users had issues with the button cut hole on the base but I'm glad it wasn't an issue for my unit. It looks great and we already got some compliments from our guests. Setup and running the device is really easy, just fill the water tank, add essential oil and press the power button to turn it on. It has a built in 1hr, 2hrs, or 3hrs timer function which is really handy cuz we can just let it run on its own and it'll turn off when the timer is up. It's not the cheapest diffuser on Amazon but I think it's certainly worth the price. Overall very happy with the purchase.

Wonderful unit. It was worth the price. I really didn't want one with all those rainbow LED colours and the warm calming light of this diffuser with the on or off or calm pulse function is brilliant! It looks so smart and the option of a timer and safety feature of automatic cut off when empty is excellent. I have it in my bedroom and it is helping me sleep, I can plug it in anywhere else in my home if I want. I can use the light only option too. I love the ceramic top and wooden base. It is v easy to set up and operate and the humidifier diffusing the essential oils is perfect. It is very quiet too. Would thoroughly recommend the investment in this Teo Aroma from Pilgrim
