This brand of diabetic sock is considered MID-WEIGHT for more toe seam comfort. The thicker the sock ,the larger is the seam on the toe. This style has a terry lining in the foot area, but is not considered thick and uncomfortable. The weight for a crew style of this brand is 18-22 oz. per dozen. Both thicker or thinner socks are available in other brands

Great socks!
No, these socks, like all socks, do not run true to size. I bought them for my dad who is 94 and wears size 12 shoes. These fit a lot better than the usual 10-12 size socks. I did not finde that they shrunk in the wash and he says they are comfortable. The price was great and I would recommend them for anyone, just remember to order a larger size than you usually wear.

So Comfortable for a Tall Sock
The tops of these socks are not so tight as to choke your ankles off. Because they are lose, they are also much easier to put on and take off. The fabric blend appears to be durable. They are not so thick to require that you replace your shoes. I will purchase again and am very happy with my purchase.Suggest that if you have a lot of socks, that you purchase a reasonable nylon fabric zipper bag to keep, store, and wash these socks in. You don't want to mix these very confortable socks with your older tight socks.

A Significant Assistant for Edema
I mainly wear these socks for doctor's and other outside the home activities instead of a foot covering diet of white socks. They are comfortable and do not bind the feet in such a manner as to add to more edema. I am not a big fan of wearing crew socks with dress pants; however, they will have to do for now. Frankly, my comfort is more important than some old fashioned idea I have about sock length. The bottom sole is not extremely thick and therefore it does not contribute significantly to more sweating. The sock top is sufficient to cover the area above the ankle by about 5½ to 6 inches for these size 13-15s. This is where I say I do not understand why I have worn size 13 for decades and when I thought I would need a 13 a 13-15 would be a tad too big. Not so. These are sized to fit a 12 or 13 with not much room for more length.I downgraded the socks by one star for the weight of the socks. They could be slightly more fabric in a closer knit and the length could be slightly longer. For a normal person, these are fantastic socks for those plagued with diabetes. I have been luicky so far and the real horror stories have not entered my world yet. My pickiness about fabric weight and length is of little value when considering the main reason for buying these socks: do they help with edema and with a strong and loud YES they are worth the cost.

Poor quality
I thought I was getting a great deal for the price. Very disapointed when they arrived. The material feels like sand paper. Guess it would be ok if you want to exfoiliate your feet. I sent them back.

Really nice. I'm glad to be able to get socks ...
Really nice. I'm glad to be able to get socks that fit; I don;'t see this size in stores other than $pecialty $hops. I'm a size 13, and the "one size fits all, 6-12 doesn't quite make it, and they are stretched and wear out fast. These fit just right, actually cover my entire foot without stretching. Great. Use these if you have any edema or circulation problems, not just diabetic.

Inexpensive, and now we know why.
These are still tight at the top and he put his toe through one as soon as he put it on. The price seemed great, but the quality isn't.

Socks a bit skimpy
These socks were considerably less expensive than some others we sampled. They also come in a wider range of colors. However, they are not cut generously and are more difficult to putinto on. They also feel a little rougher on the skin. Not bad for the price but not top quality

Should have bought these months ago!
I have very large calves (seems half my body weight is below the waste), and the indentation in my lower leg after I take off my "normal" socks takes several hours to go away. The band on these is strong enough to hold them up, but not so strong as to leave evidence after removal. Thick material over the foot with plenty of give (I wear a 13-14 shoe), with a somewhat sheer ventilated shaft. The few that have mentioned these socks as being "scratchy" I speculate must have very sensitive skin or perhaps reviewed the wrong socks... or maybe I just got lucky, because I found nothing scratchy about them. Only complaint is that I'm not a fan of blue socks. 3x4 minus the blue instead of 4x3 is the only nitpick improvement I'd make at this great price point.
