Best Head Shaver on the Planet, Makes Shaving Easier & Less Time Consuming
I've been shaving my own head for 8 years and its been great to not have to go to the Barber Shop and waste $20-30 on a haircut, or deal with waiting to get a head shave and sit still in somebody chair for an hour. I like keeping my head bald and my face shaved clean, so shaving myself was the perfect option since I don't worry about getting linings and stuff like that as well. I used some clippers that were made more for face shaving than hair shaving, so about a year after I started shaving I bought the Oster clippers device and it's the only thing that I've been using the last 7 years. They've been good for a long-time, but overtime the process of shaving with them sucks. They've slowly started to breakdown on me and they're not good for my skin as I've created so many ingrown hair bumps on my head and just a few on my face. My bumps bleed a lot, and so when I shave over them with the clippers it's a nightmare. It's really tough to shave on the back of my head because that's where a majority of my bumps lie. Then the clean up process of the hairs all over the sink is a nightmare to cleanup as well. It's just time consuming and I needed a different solution. I watch a lot of late night TV and one of the informercials that keeps showing up is this Remington head shaver and the first few times I was rather amazed, shock, but very cautious as well. I've probably seen this commercial for a good year or two now and stayed on the fence of getting them. Then one day, I decided enough is enough and it's time for a change, so I started to do extensive research on them and finally decided to try them out myself. Boy oh boy was I glad I finally made the switch. This shaver is great and is as advertised, it shaved my face and head so fast. It cuts close too like I wanted, so it feels like my face and head are completely shaved off. It doesn't hurt either as you don't got to worry about stabbing yourself or nicking yourself. It feels like a massager as it cuts very gentle on your face. It cuts rather fast too and for someone who has bumps, when I shaved over them it didn't hurt at all. This is really needed for people with bump problems like myself because when you shave with clippers they will hurt and make them bleed. I no longer have to deal with that now as I can cut any area and not worry. They cut pretty fast too as I usually spend around an hour shaving my face and hair together. It literally took maybe 10 minutes tops, if that long. I don't take any chances, so I still put peroxide over it since it shaves close. I was so thrilled with the results as I hadn't felt like I had a shave cut that close since the last time I visited the Barber Shop, 8 years ago. My old clippers never cut this close before. The cleaning process was easy too, I love how the hair is kept inside of the shaver and you can easily dump it afterwards. That's the best part to me is that it doesn't create a mess when you shave, you might still shed a few hairs and that's it. Hair doesn't fly everywhere, I've yet to use it for manscaping my privates or underarms, but that's gonna be great too. It's 100% waterproof so you can rinse it with water. I still use my Oster cleaner to spray just because of the bumps being contagious. If you're having problems cleaning, you're doing it wrong. Make sure you charge it whenever you can as well. It's portable so you can carry it wherever you go and don't got to worry about it being plugged in. Be sure to wash your hair after every shave. Guys this is device is perfect, don't hesitate if you have the money to purchase, the price is beyond cheap for something this great. There's actually a new one out that I plan on getting within the next year at some point. I'm going to get my moneys worth out of this sucker first.

Better than Pitbull Gold PRO Skull Shaver
Update: Several months of use. Still works great. Wet shaving is best. Very happy with my purchase. :) I used the Pitbull Gold Pro Skull Shaver for three years and went through several of them. It gave me a reasonably close head shave in the shower, had convenient base finger grooves for easy holding, and a digital battery display to alert me when to re-charge. But the product wasn’t well made and the battery would cut out or run continuously with no shut off until it was drained. Sometimes the blade head would spontaneously fall apart and send parts everywhere. Several weeks ago I ordered this Remington product when my Pitbull battery died again and a replacement didn’t arrive as expected. I was skeptical, because the $80 Pitbull seemed to get the job done with four rotary blades and Remington has five - but only cost about $54. I figured it would be a cheap replacement that I could use as a backup until I got a new Pitbull. But I must say I have been very pleasantly surprised. Although this Remington model has no digital battery display (a red light tells you when its time to recharge), it gives a *noticeably* closer head shave in the shower with less pressure and effort. (I can’t vouch for dry shaving but I assume the results would be similar.) The fifth blade on the Remington really does make a difference! I actually look forward to shaving again. Unless there are durability issues, this is my new go-to shaver for my spectacularly bald head.

Great Razor — Makes Shaving Effortless
This razor works great and makes shaving a breeze. As someone who’s semi‑bald, I really appreciate how easily it cleans up the extra hair on the back of my head. It’s sharp, smooth, and efficient, and it’s reduced my need for haircuts to almost zero. A simple, effective tool that does exactly what you want it to.

Remington Balder Pro Electric Razor died but began working again a couple weeks later
Remington Balder Pro Electric Razor for Head XR7000A, first charge before using was 18Nov24. Today, 10Aug25, it was dead. Wouldn't turn on. Up until today, it worked well. I enjoyed using it. Edit: 28Aug25—the shaver began working again. Not sure what had happened on 10Aug25 when it wouldn't turn on. In the interim, I purchased the Pitbull Gold PRO GX5 head and face shaver. While the Pitbull shaver feels better in the hand, this Remington shaver provides a closer shave. There is always a bit of palpable stubble after shaving with the Pitbull Gold Pro, but the Remington leaves pretty much smooth skin. The Remington is also easier to clean. I had also purchased the skull shaver platinum rinse stand for the Pitbull shaver. It is essentially a reservoir of water with a stand to suspend the shaver heads into the water. It might be getting some of the fine residue out of the shaver heads, but it leaves a film of dust particles all over the reservoir and the shaver heads, requiring that the mechanism be cleaned again under the faucet. The Pitbull shaver also had a more complex mechanism in the shaver head than the Remington making the Pitbull more difficult to clean with a brush.

Great
I’ve been using the Balder Pro for a while now, and it makes keeping a shaved head so much faster and easier. The five dual-track heads do a great job of following the contours of my scalp, so I can get a smooth finish in just a few minutes without any missed spots. It’s comfortable to hold and easy to clean since it's fully waterproof and opens up to rinse out. It feels like a high-quality, durable tool that has definitely simplified my grooming routine.

Smooth, Fast, and Skin-Friendly!
I’ve been using the Remington Balder Pro XR7000 for about six days now, and it has been a total game-changer. Since Tuesday, I’ve used it three times, and the results are incredible every single time. This is my 1st ever Razor for a bald head since I'm just going bald 6 days ago. It gets me "bald to the core" with zero effort. I haven't had a single nick or cut, which is a huge relief. The unit is surprisingly lightweight and easy to maneuver around the back of the head. Cleaning is a breeze. it is very simple to pop open and rinse out, which saves me a ton of time in the morning. The battery life is holding up great and feels very reliable for a cordless unit. The unit vamedbfully charged also and I haven't had to charge yet. If you are looking for a smooth, irritation-free shave that’s quick and easy to maintain, I cannot recommend this enough. 10/10 – very very happy with this purchase! Also I've only used it wet and not dry yet so I'll try that next.

The best way to clean it is not in the manual.
I have had this shaver for about 3 months and I am very happy with it. It will not shave as close as a blade (which I think is a pain to use), but is way better than clippers. It has been erratic for a few days, and it completely stopped working today. I have brushed it out daily, and oiled it weekly, as in the instructions. A little research and experimentation taught me 2 important things. [1] If the shaver turns off and will not turn on, this is probably due to the blades being jammed with oil and shavings, so the motor can not turn. If the motor can't turn, it draws a high current that will burn the motor out. This shaver has a safety turn off mechanism. Pull off the head, and see if the motor runs (it likely will not). Then plug in the charging cord to reset the shaver. You will see the red light briefly, then it will change to green, indicating that it has reset. It should now run well with the head assembly off. Note - it will not run until you remove the charging cord. [2] Next hold the head assembly up to a bright light. You should be able to see light around each of the shaving heads. If you can't, you need to clean it. I added a drop of baby shampoo (that is what I had, probably any detergent will work) to each head, scrubbed it with an old toothbrush on both sides, followed by rinsing in it the shower. Mine was so dirty, it took about 5 tries to able to see light around each of the 5 blades. I dried the head assembly and the base thoroughly, and put it back together. Viola! It is reset, clean, and working like a champ!

Excellent head-shave but fragile blades!
Like many folks, I like to keep my hair cut very short, which I've been doing myself for years with a 1960's-era set of "000" clippers. However, those clippers are heavy, require frequent tune-ups and sharpening, and have to be plugged into an outlet to work... so I took a chance on this Remington Balder Pro. I have to admit that I was skeptical at first, but they've really won me over. Here's a quick pros-vs-cons list: Pros: - This Balder is light and easy to hold. - The kit includes a tiny little dropper of oil (I'm guessing it's just light mineral oil), cleaning brush, etc. - The haircut I get from this thing is incredible! After years of struggling to get my hair cut as short as possible, this thing has made it an easy part of my weekly routine. Cons: - As noted in other reviews, the battery will run out halfway through a cut if you didn't fully recharge it after your last cut. Just expect that you'll need to recharge it fully every time you use it and you should be okay. - It's also surprisingly hard to clean the hair clippings out if the little blades - the included brush doesn't do much, and I end up running a lot of hot water over the blades trying to clean them out. - I have not yet figured out exactly what I'm doing wrong, but every time I use this thing to trim the hair on the curved part where my neck meets my shoulders, I end up with patchy irritated spots (almost like small localized sunburns). I'm not sure if it's the nature of this gadget or if I'm just doing it wrong, but either way, it's worth noting. - As you can see in my attached pic, one of the five blades broke a few months after I bought the set. I'd noticed that it was loose and before long I was having to manually press it back into place with a fingertip after every haircut, and then it came loose entirely. I was able to keep using the Balder Pro without that blade but that's obviously not ideal. Credit where it's due: I reached out to Remington to ask if I could buy a replacement blade (since this happened just after the warranty expired) and they promptly sent me an entire replacement set - not just the blade, but *everything* brand new again. Not sure if that's because they really wanted to reassure me of their awesome service, or because they literally don't have separate blades to offer, but either way I'm impressed and grateful - they didn't have to do that. All-in-all, I strongly recommend this Balder Pro if you like wearing your hair very short... just beware of loose blades!
