Featherland Paradise, Stainless Steel Hanging Bell Bird Toy, Durable, Easy to Clean

Before purchase, we asked questions over several months. Seller either did not answer, or the answers were vague / evasive.We are particular about the health & well being of our parrots. So seller's answers / responses made us shy away, hesitate to purchase.So, we closely monitored the buyers feedback for months before finally deciding to risk this purchase.Our parrots seem OK after a few weeks of playing with these bells.

I like the sound of the bell. However, the soldering/welding job is really sloppy and a globby job. Also the inside of the bell is not the same shiny stainless steel like the outside. I am not sure why? Maybe I should get a replacement?Since I actually spent $10 on a lead test kit (yes I am OCD protective Mom) and it tests good I am going to keep. It is hard to know what is safe anymore with things made in China.Now the real test, will my conure love this? He loves bells. I will report back.One day later and he rings his bell!!! Yeah, success. I gave this another star.

When I first received the bell, it seems a bit large for my cockatiels. I purchased the small size. But, the bell is well made and the clapper is set in far enough that the bird's beak cannot reach it. The chain links are thick and sturdy and can withstand the beaks of a bigger parrot, like a conure. I feel that this bell would be overkill for a budgie. The "C" clamp is also very sturdy. For the price, this is a great value.Now - what does it sound like? It has a very nice tone to it. Not a tinny or a clunky sound. Almost melodic, even soothing. Since I bought two bells, they both have the same pitch.Having said all this - I like the stainless steel bell! It's easy to clean, too.I have seen painted ones and wonder if in time, the paint would chip. Not sure...

I have been removing all bells from existing toys, since they are a hazard and very dangerous, even though my parrots love bells. The little thing in the middle of the bells always came apart and I was afraid, they would ingest it. Now finally I have found these heavy stainless steel bells, that are absolutely safe. Nothing can come apart, they have a pleasant sound and my babies love them. I have ordered them in different sizes and am thrilled to finally have found a product, where I don't have to worry about. Little expensive, but so worth it, if you are concerned about your parrots safety.

This is the only bell my Greenwing Macaw hasn't been able to completely destroy. He loves to play with it and hear the ring, so it makes a great addition to any macaw toy to keep them interested. I purchased this on March 27, 2015 and didn't find any problems with metal shavings or loose parts so luckily that wasn't a problem. In addition, I think the stainless is the only bell worth getting for the large birds, because they seem to chip the paint off the colored bells (try not to get any of them wet anyway).

Nice little bell for the dog. We mounted this about 18" off the ground next to our back door using a plant hook/hanger so it sits 6" from the wall. We are training our dalmatian to touch the bell with his nose or paw to let us know that he needs to go out. He was a little scared of the bell at first but after a little coaxing with some treats he's getting it now. It has a chrome finish and the bell is pretty loud. Highly recommended for dog training.

My bird loves this. But, not too much! She has another "chinese" bell that I had to replace the clapper on that rings at a far higher pitch (same physical size). She rings it so much we had to move it to a playstand where she plays with it less. This bell has a very nice mellow ring and looks impressively durable. She cannot reach the clapper so there will never be an issue with it disappearing onto the cage floor.

Just arrived and not only does it sound pretty, but it's also indestructible.I have a Sun Conure who can take apart almost any bell faster than you can blink, but this one will definitely stump him. It's built for big birds so it's incredibly tough and the ringer is enclosed so as there is no way for the bird to rip it out. It has a heavy macaw-proof clasp and extremely heavy duty chain. This will be a toy he'll have for the rest of his days for sure!
