Premium Chic Disposable Placemats - 66-Count (3 Bags of 22) - BPA Free - Table Mats for Baby and Toddlers

These are a good, cost-effective solution for keeping little hands from eating off of dirty restaurant tables. We've used these for a few months with our toddler, and they usually work pretty well. What I really like about them is that once he's done eating, we just pull it off the table and most of his mess is confined to the mat itself. This definitely helps cleanup.However, as other reviewers have noted, the adhesive is not the best quality, and the mats sometimes do not do a very good job of sticking to the table surface, or if you don't get it smoothed down just right it provides too much of a crease for your child to work a finger under and pull the whole sheet up. A couple of times we've had an adhesive liner come completely off of the sheet when peeled. This is an annoyance, for sure, because when you're dealing with a hangry toddler, you just want to get them situated and fed as quickly as possible. Once or twice we got a sheet that did not have adhesive strips applied to all four sides, which made those sheets worthless. Lastly, the plastic liner for the adhesive strip almost always clings to your fingers after you peel it, which, again, is an annoyance when you really need things to go your way.Bottom line, a better adhesive formula would improve the quality of this product. We like to support smaller businesses, so I hope that Dwelling Place uses the feedback that their customers are giving them.

I absolutely love these because they give me a peace of mind, when eating in shared lunch spaces at work, that the surface directly underneath my lunch plate is free of cross contaminants. If my fork slides off of my lunch plate, I do not have to panic. I hope these restock soon!

I really love these placemats! Easy to use, easy to remove, no residue left on the table. The packaging is AWFUL, though. All of the placemats are folded together to fit into the resealable bag, so to get one out you have to take ALL of them out, unfold them, take out the top one, refold the rest, and shimmy them back into the resealable bag. It literally makes no sense, especially if you are using this while trying to wrangle a baby/toddler, which I assume everyone is.**Edited to add: After I left this review the owner of the company contacted me to let me know that she had been unhappy with the packaging too. She had it changed so that the placemats are folded individually, and offered to replace the ones I purchased originally. They work SO much better now! And I was really impressed that she took the time to reach out as well.

Also, instead of each mat being folded individually so that you can pull just one out, you have to pull out the entire wad of mats, grab just one, then fold the wad back into the bag. I would definitely improve upon that aspect of packaging for the future.

I bought these for my husband and I to use at the park when we eat lunch at the picnic tables - the tables are often covered in bird droppings and it's a less-than-ideal eating surface (and all the sanitizing wipes in the world won't get the ick off...). These work great - they're very thin so I don't feel like I'm creating a lot of waste, and the sticky strips on the back keep them from blowing away or into our food. They stick well even on the picnic tables that are very ridged and uneven.I like that the design is very understated and neutral - we're adults eating without kids, so bright preschool-themed designs would look amusing, to say the least. These are just a nice calm white with pale blue cloud shapes. I appreciate the zip-close bag these come in, as well, making it very easy to toss them in a purse or cooler pocket to use on-the-go.

I am such a huge fan of these! As my little one began to eat solids, I ended up spending half my time feeding my son and forgetting to eat myself. As he started to be able to feed himself by picking up food, I decided to give these a try to finally be able to enjoy a meal by his side. Low and behold, these are a lifesaver when going to restaurants. He's able to eat on his on while my husband and I enjoy our meals. I always get mommies asking me where I got the mats and how ideal they are. I would definitely recommend these to all of my mommy friends. One thing is I wish that the packaging would be easier to access one of the mats instead of having to unfold all mats just to get one out. But it's okay. We will just have to deal.

These are handy, especially for eating out. You don't have to worry about the cleanliness of the table at restaurants. Simply press the place mat in place. You know babies and toddlers will have the food on it. You have a clean and safe space for them to enjoy their meal. When they are finished eating you simple peal up the mat holding all the mess. Terrific idea. I'm sure there are other terrific things that mothers will find to do with these. Maybe protective surfaces for things like finger painting and coloring.

This is an edited review.I like the size of these mats but they didn't stick to the tables at any of the restaurants I had used these. I posted my initial review and then I was contacted by dwelling place shortly after my review posted. I was told they were working to get a stickier adhesive so that they will stick to the tables better and asked if I would try them out. I received a shipment with the new adhesive. Dwelling Place delivered! They stick to the tables at the restaurants I have tried them at.I gave my not so great mats to my son to use as a mat with his clay/play doh to save my table. :)Great customer service and great mats!
