Foxit Phantom PDF Standard

Complete garbage no support when you send them an e-mail (that's if and when theyanswer your e-mail)they don't answer your questions therefore they can't helpyou they don't even understand how their own product works. A real waste of moneyI had to buy another one I don't recommand this product don't touch itwith a 10foot pole

This program is rated as one of the best and when I first got it I was pleased. Then I had to do a lot of conversions and discovered that every once in a while, it simply wouldn't convert to PDF. I just got an error when i tried to open the file I'd just created. I was converting files from Adobe InDesign. The program is pretty useless to me if I can't rely on its ability to convert ALL files. A friend had recommended PDF Xchange so I downloaded a trial version. I ended up buying it as it worked with every file I tried, no glitches. I think you can only get PDF Xchange from their website. [...] They have different versions for different prices. I got PDF Editor Plus.

I am a frequent writer of MS Word documents and the ability to generate pdf formatted documents for distribution is essential. When I upgraded my PC, I didn't want to fork out the ca$h for Adobe Acrobat Pro (Which I have used for over 15 years), so I gave Foxit Phantom a try.Pros: Price. Does most everything I want it to that Acrobat does with the exception of file compression and forms generation.Cons: File compression doesn't compress much. Creating PDF forms is not as easy or intuitive as Acrobat. Making edits to existing PDF files is cumbersome. NOTE: Acrobat does an equally poor job at this.

I chose Phantom for use in our business environment for 40 users. This is a downgrade of the product but I purchased it for personal use. I like it much better - and alot cheaper - than Adobe product.

My wife uses this product and loves it. She compared all the current products out there and said that this one gives her the features she wants at the right price. She loves being able to annotate, edit, highlight text, search, and add and remove pages of a pdf document. This program is highly recommended!

After receiving a popup message stating that an update was available for Foxit, I installed it. Unfortunately, it wasn't an update at all - it was a "trial" version of their "Phantom" product that I did not want and did not ask for. When I uninstalled the program, all the stored passwords in my Edge browser were erased. My trust factor for Foxit is in the toilet, going back to Adobe.

When purchased there was no information on the version. It was very old.

I have many programs loaded on both my home desktop and on my laptop for when I am travelling. Most licenses cover me as one user and allow me to activate the program on both computers. With Foxit, however, the license is only good for one computer, so if you're like me and want to use it on the big monitor at home and on the laptop when travelling, you'll have to buy 2 licenses (or fiddle with disconnecting the desktop and connecting your laptop to your monitor when at home).
