Lotus Spices - Genuine Persian Saffron, Grade A+, Sargol Highest Grade, Premium All Red Saffron (2 Grams)

It looked great, all red, and smelled like saffron when it arrived, but when added to warm white wine imparted no taste or color to the broth and when added then to the paella added no flavor or color to the dish. I don't know what this stuff is but I suspect it's not real saffron. And don't bother to respond that I didn't know what I'm doing, I've been making paella for 20 years with saffron and have never had a problem before.

Unsure about reviewers suspicions that this is other flowers dyed, what I received was the real deal if perhaps not the best version I have ever had, it certainly is saffron and this is the 2nd time I have purchased this version. I use saffron frequently in cooking and this product works well and for the price is excellent.

Saffron glass jar arrived opened, contents spilled in bublewrap envelope. Shipping QC needs improvement so this does not happen to another order.This is a great product, but glass jar needs tobe taped and sealed.

Saffron is a fabulous spice and there are different varieties. I like using the Persian Saffron for the richness in color and taste.

the jar had been placed in a plastic bag and the lid to the jar was open. It was a mess!

I only ordered 2 grams, the picture shows a lot more. Still it is great quality so it still gets 4 stars. Would have gotten 5 stars if picture had matched what you were actually purchasing.

This was the best Saffron that I bought and the price was amazingly low.

This did not measure up to the Saffron that I have had, in the past. It just wasn't 'strong' enough in Saffron Flavor. I had to use way too much and still was not up to what I expected.
