Nice shower drain cover! It fit without any problem and catches hair much better than the standard plastic drain cover I had. This one is stainless steel, making it easier to clean, stay clean, and last longer. ShowerShroom may have perfected how removable drain covers work. I was having trouble with drain blockage from my family's long hair, requiring frequent Drano and plunger sessions. Since I started using this ShowerShroom, all I need to do is lift it out, tap it into the trash bin, and move on. The item presents well, functions even better, and is made of materials that give me confidence it'll last a long time. For the price, I feel like I got a good deal.

For folks with tubs that either don't have good drain protection or one at all, this product does exactly what it claims: allows water to drain while catching most of the hair lost during bathing/showering. It's extremely easy to clean and has no maintenance beyond that. You just put into the drain and let it work. The only caveat is that it does require frequent cleaning; if you let it sit, it will still work but you'll have standing water while you shower. As I wrote above, cleaning is quick and easy: you just remove the protector, lift out the rubber part and remove the hair, then place the rubber part back into the product and place it all back in the tub drain. Takes all of 20 seconds to do.

We bought this specifically for when we bathe our two Golden Retrievers in our walk-in shower. My fault for misunderstanding the concept - I did not realize that this requires you to remove the existing drain, which we did not want to do. However, we found that it still works for our purpose by simply turning it upside down ("hump up") and placing it over the drain during the shower. Water drains quickly, and it catches an amazing amount of hair, which is easily removed afterward.

Hair flows over the circular perforations in this drain cover, then is captured in the central, easily removable, flexible hub. Installation could not be easier fora standard 4 inch shower drain. Just remove the existing drain cover and put the ShowerShroom in it's place. No tools required. Since it is made of stainless steel this item should last a very long time. Check out the pictures. I was skeptical about this device, but after using it for a few weeks, I'm a convert. It securely captures 2x - 3x more hair than my original, gridded drain cover, yet it doesn't restrict water flow to the drain. And it lies so flush to the floor that it hasn't posed a tripping hazard, or become unseated when I've accidentally nudged it. (I had been concerned that, since it doesn't screw into place like my original cover, it would be easily knocked out of place, but it's so low-profile and because it has the well for the mushroom that keeps it in the drain, it doesn't.) Very easy to clean out the hair - just lift the little mushroom. I used to collect the hair from my original cover after every shower, and initially did that with this device, but now can do it just 1x/wk. (I could wait even longer, but choose to keep on a regular schedule 😬)

Best functional hair catch that is EASY to clean. It does a great job of snagging hair & all you have to do is grab a Kleenex and pull the circle of hair off and toss it!!

I really wanted to love this, because I've really liked my tub and sink shrooms. But this is too large for a somewhat standard 4.25" stall shower drain. It doesn't lay flush on the drain, so it slides around and hair easily goes under it, defeating the purpose. I wound up going to a home improvement store and finding one with a similar concept that fits perfectly.

Such a revolutionary device, catches hair and dirt and does not clog our shower.

I have installed it in all bathrooms and it is a game changer! Catches and completely stops all hair types from sneaking into the drainage. No clogging at all. Even have it in the kitchen sink (without the central rubber knob) Very much recommended.

Not sure if this is a UK plumbing issue - this cover sits over the drain hole easily enough in my walk-in shower (not securely, but it stayed in place) but unfortunately it doesn't allow for proper water drainage, so within a couple of days I had a horrible sewage smell in my bathroom. Replaced it with my original cover, and the smell was gone. I could distinctly hear water from my sink draining under the shower which I didn't before. It did catch a few hairs and scum. Returned for a refund which was gratefully accepted.

This item does its job, just as described: it fits perfectly and captures all hair in a swirl around the plastic center, while the water has plenty of holes to run away. I'm 100% satisfied (am even considering to buy a spare one).
