Wooly Brain Needle Felting Needle Set - 5 Each of 5 Types: 36-Triangle, 38-Spiral, 40-Reverse, 40-Spiral, and 42-Spiral

I've looked all over Amazon for a set of felting needles that offered a good basic set of needle types. It seems like every listing was for either just a few or 30+ of a single needle type, when what I want is just a handful of various needle types. This Needle Felting Needle Set by Wooly Brain is EXACTLY what I was looking for: 3 spiral gauges, a triangle, and a reverse, and all for $1 each! (25/$25)You get THREE of the snazzy spiral needles, which you may hear called 'twists', in 38, 40, and 42 gauges. These spiral/twists are wonderful. They're effective and felt quickly, but more subtle and clean than a triangle. Their triangular tips have the normal four barbs on each edge, but the half-turn twist of each needle allows the barbs to contact and felt more fibers with each poke than a standard triangle needle. Spirals/twists do more with less, and leave nicely finished surfaces.The 36 triangle needle is a little finer than the 36T's I already have: they're 3mm shorter and the 2 barbs on each edge only cover the last 8mm of the tips, compared to 14mm coverage of the 3 barbs on the tips of my other ones. I was rather pleased that they weren't identical, since variety is why I bought this kit.The 40 gauge Reverse Needles are triangles, not spirals, and only 2 barbs per edge spread over 14mm of the tip. Very fine, which is what you want for applying finishing layers of fur and whatnot.Also, the best part imo! : It came in a lovely little black box, wrapped in tissue paper with a thank-you sticker! It includes good quality reusable color-capped storage tubes! I thought I was just getting a great deal on high quality felting needles, I didn't expect such attention to presentation and customer experience. They completely won me over as soon as I opened the box, I was immediately planning a positive review and considering how I can give them more of my money. Then I realized that the order was incomplete.Oh noes! I was missing the 38 Spiral needles! As you can see in the attached pics, I don't have the white-capped tube. :( Much sadness.So I went to the Dauminion storefront and wrote them a quick note (including pics) asking if they could send me the missing tube of needles. I had a response back within the hour! They were great! Even though it was after 5PM on their (East) coast they still managed to get out the post office THAT NIGHT and got me a tracking number by dinner time! My replacement needles should arrive next week! :D I didn't think they could do anything better. But then they refunded me the entire cost!! WHAT?! Yes! They gave me my money back and thanked me for my patience. I was not at all expecting that. Soon as that processes I'm giving it right back to them by buying another of these Needle Felting Needle Sets by Wooly Brain. These needles are seriously great, and a stand-alone product on Amazon.Edit: I received the missing 38 Spiral needles 3 days after informing the vendor, sent priority mail, along with a hand-written note on a thank-you card. As you can see in the pic, I now have the white-capped tube! And a new submission to the r/handwriting subReddit, because that note is so pretty! :)Your customer service is exemplary, JM. This set has a good variety of needle felting needles for a good price. I am an advanced beginner needle felter and wanted to try some different needles than the ones that were included in kits that I have purchased in the US and Japan.I am quite impressed with the quality of these needles. I have not had any breakage and the tubes are great for storage. I loved the 38-S needles so much that I purchased a 10 needle tube from this seller. They do a wonderful job. I used nail polish to mark each needle type so I know which needle that I am working with when the needle is outside of the tube.I will add more to the review after I use the 40-R and the 40-S and 42-S needles.

I use these by themselves and in the Clover Needle Felting Pen tool (they fit perfectly). Needle felting, like most crafts, becomes a lot easier with quality tools, and the projects I've made with these needles have been more enjoyable than using the crappy needles that come in needle felting kits.The great thing about this set is the chance to try different types and sizes of needles. I especially love the 42-S spiral needles for surface work, because they're a lot easier to use without leaving holes. I'll be buying those and the 38-S in bulk soon. I definitely recommend this set!

First of all, when my needles arrived I felt like I was opening a gift because the packaging is so nice. The variety of needles arrived all sorted by type and size into the reusable tubes shown in the product picture above which helps me stay a bit more organized.These needles are also fairly sturdy for felting needles and holding up well so far. For me this is a huge plus and says a lot since I've previously tended to break felting needles from different sellers rather quickly.With the "bang for the buck" this seller offers, I will definitely be buying these again and would recommend to my fellow felters.

The product is great. I'm taking off one star only because it would have been super helpful to have included a note in the package on which type of needle is most suitable to what kind of felting (detail, large area, attaching, etc.). My previous set from another seller had this and I've been relying greatly on this "cheat sheet. "

Needles seem to be of high quality and didn't have much of the processing oil on them at all compared to others I've bought. Made getting them ready to use much easier. The labeled tubes for the needles are very nice. I'm thinking of using fingernail polish to paint the ends of the needles so I know which belong in which tube after using multiple ones at once. Came very lovingly packaged. Would happily buy from this seller again. :)

Loved these , well worth ordering and I will order again from them! The sizes that are offered are harder to find then some of the others so I couldn't be happier .

first: I really like the tubes that these needles come in... makes it so easy to transport while I'm doing the handwork on my felted projects. and two... I love love love the spiral needles! They are amazing! I have mostly used corridale roving and these needles really do the job.
