Titansgrave The Ashes of Valkana Hardcover – January 1, 1865

This is a five star product because if you're looking for a cyberpunk flavored post apocalypse fantasy game, or if you're a fan of Wil Wheaton (creator of the setting) and the show he did for it on YouTube. That said, it's a thin product that's not much more than the same adventure he ran on the show with a tiny bit of rules and setting material at the beginning (you will need to buy the Fantasy AGE core rulebook for the rest of the rules you need). But just the art, the map, the sheer audacity and creativity of the setting all justify a five-star rating. This game is really close to my heart and I own a lot of roleplaying games. That said, know what you're getting and realize you're probably going to be on your own a lot if you want to stray beyond the included adventure. Fun times though.

From what I have looked through so far, it presents the adventure and characters as seen on the Web Series hosted by Wil Wheaton. Not a bad thing in itself, but it looks like there may be enough to create your own adventures as well (I hope). Green Ronin also has at least one new pdf adventure for it with hopefully more to come. Can't wait to try it!

Love it but if you are running this game for murder hobos (ppl that want to fight and kill everyone and thing NPC or otherwise) it doesn’t leave much wiggle room and you will find that you will have to make a whole new story just to get back to the main one lol.

I played the campaign with some friends and watched the YouTube series. Good companion material to Fantasy Age RPG.

An interesting idea, but this book isn't a full campaign setting, so if that is what interests you, I would advise waiting until that book comes out later this year.

Such a great companion to the Fantasy AGE basic rulebook, Not only does it give you a whole new adventure to play out, but it also gives you additional pieces to extend any original games/adventures you can come up with.

This book is only 96 pages, and those are RPG book pages, so they're half art. Even with being that short, it still has a few dozen grammatical errors. 23 of those pages are usable by players: the remaining 73 pages are adventures, the first few of which I have been a player in. They are pretty boring, and assume a stereotypical "Beer and party and RAH!" kind of playstyle. Most of the 23 pages for players are dedicated to setting, which is usually my favorite part, but in this case the setting is pretty uninspired. It's clearly a rip-off of Eberron and Shadowrun, with none of the personality or depth of either of those settings.I recommend giving this a pass. Buy Eberron for a better execution of a magitech setting. The Fantasy Age system is more comprehensible than Shadowrun's system, but Titansgrave will add nothing of consequence to anyone's game.The physical book is fairly sturdy, hence the second star.

Libro splendido, ottimo materiale e stampa perfetta, illustrazioni dedicate alla serie web di Will Wheaton, ideatore e GM delle avventure contenute. Fornita col gioco anche una mappa del mondo di Titangrave a doppia faccia con la città di Nestora. Detto questo bisogna soffermarsi sull'ambientazione prima, perchè il libro è di 97 pagine di cui solo 20 riguardanti il setting, e due per una nuova razza (I sauriani - praticamente i lizardman di D&D) e nuove abilità e focus ed equipaggiamenti utili per l'ambientazione Fantasy-Scifi del modulo. Poi nulla; dell'intera mappa che comprende tutto il mondo conosciuto solo tre città sono trattate, che fanno parte di un triangolino di continente piccolo piccolo e neanche nello specifico. Solo 10 avventure che completano una cronaca (di cui, non si sa perché, i PG la passano sempre a bere birra e fare party selvaggi dentro i locali delle varie città almeno per due di esse, il ché realmente è stancante a una mente occidentale non avvezza allo sbevazzamento selvaggio, almeno non la mia generazione).Ovviamente il modulo era stato scritto per interagire con altre espansioni più o meno corpose, ma tutto ha perso senso perché dal 2015 i ragazzi di Titangrave (Will & C.) non hanno prodotto più nulla per TG e FAGE. Anzi, sono addirittura in tribunale per una questione di diritti non pagati quindi chissà quando finirà.Vi piace il fantasy-scifi, vi piacciono i mondi postapocallitici. Anche se limitato questo modulo lascia spazio alla volontà di creazione di GM, che può inserirvi quello che vuole e personalizzare un intero continente per la sua sandbox di gioco personale. O più semplicemente collezionate RPG... allora questo libro fa per voi. Una razza, cinque focus, un piccolo albero di nuove abilità, una campagna alcolica; niente che Modern AGe alla fine non abbia. A voi la scelta.Detto questo il libro è comunque uno spettacolo per gli occhi.

This book was a bit of a disappointment. It's mostly adventure, and shy on good world details to have adventures that weren't on Geek & Sundry's youtube series. The writing is tight, the art is great, but it's about 80% adventures and 20% world. I really wanted to get into the guts of Valkania, and this book was just a tease. Compared to the world building in another AGE product, Blue Rose, it comes up even shorter. Is it worth getting? Yes, but be aware that it's not a great world guide.
