May require some modification
I bought this to reduce the sound of my classical guitar for midnight practice. I already have something under the strings that removes most of the high frequencies. This removes most of the low frequencies, balancing the overall, reduced sound pretty well.I had to trim some material off the edge of the item where it interfered with the fingerboard on my classical guitar -- after that, it fit. I made it so that I would have to force it into position and this would hold it in place, because despite my measurements of the sound hole, the product was slightly to small for a snug fit. Also, the material is strange -- a fairly hard, primitive rubber/plastic that smells strongly between tar and black licorice. The smell is almost too much. Not sure why they didn't just use a soft silicone rubber that would flex more (and fit better) and not smell so bad.

As described, does the job, but heavy
Got this to keep cat hair out of my guitar while on the stand. It does that just fine.Pros- snug fit on my Fender Dreadnought guitars (3.93" and 3.95" sound holes on the digital caliper). Almost too tight, but I'd rather that, than have it fall out.Doesn't diminish tone very much.Cons- not hard to install, but go slowly, lest ye ruin the finish around sound hole.Adds significant weight to the guitar, so.... be ready for that.

It's a Chinese 3.39".... waste of time.
I don't know why they sell junk like this...Why would they say it's a 3.39 inch hole cover when it only measures 3.28 inches. That is almost 1/8 of an inch off. It's like throwing a hot dog down the hallway and completely useless for its job. Not even the very outside diameter of the flange is 3.39 inches.See the 4 photos attached to this review. This product should be removed from Amazon or the listing should be revised because it is a waste of time, shipping, shelf-space, and resources otherwise.Definitely returning!

Too Small for My Cordoba Guitar
My sound hole measures 3.318” / 84.28mm. This reducer was too small (measuring 3.3065” / 83.99mm) and falls out while I’m standing. I had to use electrical tape (two winds) to make it fit without falling out. Also I needed to clip the upper tabs back because the fretboard got in the way. One more thing, it smells like PVC. It just so hard to find one of these that fits this guitar (no trouble finding these for my Martin and Taylor guitars). Sure buy it. It’s cheap. But be ready to make modifications.

If your sound hole is truly 4” don’t buy it
My sound hole is exactly 4” - this cover is not. It is too loose to stay put.

It's not 4 inches
As other reviewers have stated, the 4 inch size is not 4 inches, falls out of a 4 inch hole. I may shim it with some tape or something, but, it would work/look good, if it were only the right size... kinda disappointed...

This is a 10cm cover, not the stated 4"
This is cover for a 10cm soundhole being sold as a 4" cover. As 10cm is about 3 7/8", it is too small and simply falls out of a 4" soundhole. The packaging say 4", so it's not simply a case of being sent the wrong one.You have been warned!

DO NOT BUY
4” cover is smaller than 4” so falls out of sound hole. Waste of money, DO NOT BUY.

Too small
It is described as 4inch Soundhole Cover but it is not 4 inches and does not fit over the 4 inch sound hole. Far too small
