Very insightful and enjoyable!
I absolutely enjoyed this book! It definitely makes you turn the page. I agree with all of these positive reviews. The other benefit I received from this book is Catherine's recommendations and her own personal practices about how to become "awakened". These practices have helped me to be more effective at work and manage my stress better. I have been able to think more clearly to develop unique solutions and create positive relationships with my colleagues; such that I am actually having fun again in the office!

The Time Has Come
If you feel the time has come for corporations (and those who run them) to stop acting solely in their self interests and start working for the betterment of humanity, this book will give you all the ammunition you need to make the case for wiring mindfulness into the corporateethos. As a fellow practitioner and author, I found Catherine's stories in the Awakened Company to be compelling, and her message isclear and urgent. Pick up this book and help us spread the message for a new model of personal and corporate accountability based on sustainable, healthy relationships.

Awake to a dream come true
I run my business life and my private life in an ethical way, trying really hard not to hurt anyone and not to hurt the environment, in fact putting back as much as I can as often as I can, healing (making whole) the people with whom I work and the land on which I work and on which I depend. And I believe that corporates should do the same.I've often felt that "corporate responsibility" is just another side of "corporate irresponsibility".Reading this book has given me a new dimension to seeing that there are business leaders out there who really do care about their staff. After all they understand that we spend most of our adult life "at work". Our colleagues should be our friends, our trusted confidants. This book has awakened me to the awakened staff and leaders of awakened companies.Thank you so much for having it available on Kindle.A must read for everyone working in any kind of organisation, be it charitable, home based, SMME, or large corporate. This is how our world should be. A dream come true.

Nice read, and it came very handy, at the right time
This is a very good read. It tries to explain that we can match our life and work values, and that this generates a much more positive impact in our planet/people/business. It also matches the motivation of B corps.I will use this book and other related references for future and ongoing projectsThanks to Catherine for putting together this very nice story

The Awakened Company - a ground-breaking book about creating community and a deeply meaningful personal experience in business
The Awakened Company is a book about awakening a spiritual practice within the business community. Such a community is heart-centered and people focused. The author invites leaders and everyone within their companies to connect with themselves and with each other with mindful awareness, compassion, encouragement, vulnerability, and emotional intelligence. This book is founded in the wisdom, experience, and insight of several contemporary visionary leaders. It demonstrates that companies whose people are self-aware, internally informed, and personally inspired build relationships in trust and confidence not only with each other but also inclusively with their customers, partners, and the communities they serve.

Bit of a ramble
Contrary to the 21 five star reviews on Amazon.com I found this book to be a bit of a ramble. The Awakedned Company often references the same two companies as case studies and from what I can tell does not describe a pragmatic approach to organisational change. I give it 2 stars as it raises a worthy topic and I am aligned with the central theme of the book.

The Evolution of Business
Catherine's book is a true reflection of her essence! Catherine brings all of her energy and spirit to everything she undertakes, and her book continues to support this! The theories and philosophies contained within the pages, supported by the statistical facts, create a very thought provoking read from cover to cover. Having been a client of Catherine's for several years, it is wonderful to be able to share with the team why we have been doing the work we have been doing. The Awakened Company is the perfect medium in which to do just that!

A landmark books for our times
A landmark book for our times. The Awakened Company details what so many of us know and feel - that our business model is broken and unsustainable - explains why it has failed and provides a practical roadmap to a better model for business that integrates people, communities and the planet. The book also provides inspiring interviews with leaders who are demonstrating this new model. A MUST read for everyone wanting to make positive change.

Call to Action
This book gets to the core of the issue. We really need to become more awakened ourselves and lead by example. A very good read with some great examples of how companies are achieving "awakened" status, if you will. It all starts within. I would recommend this to leaders at all levels. There is even benefits for the solopreneur.
