This beautiful candle holder is made from three vintage books by O. Henry; "Roads of Destiny," "Whirligigs" and "Cabbages and Kings" My book candle holders are both beautiful and functional. Perfect for desk, table or shelf, they will warm any room with the rich candlelight as well as the look of vintage books. The book candle holder is designed to hold up to a 3-1/2" diameter pillar candle. The books have a lovely worn look to them that enhances the aged red covers. The page edges have yellowed with age, leaving them a warm earth tone color. The books are varying shades of faded red with gilt adornment and type. My book candle holders are designed to be functional. Each candle holder contains a 4" x 4" glass cylinder vase. The vase can be easily removed if needed. The interior of the cylinder opening has been painted with a flame retardant, and at the bottom of the opening contains a poly disk to provide cushion and a barrier between the bottom of the cylinder and the book pages. The topmost book also has a fire retardant coating. Candles are not included. As with all candles, always burn within sight. Extinguish candles and do not relight when candle flame is 1" to 1-1/2" from bottom of candle. Do not allow heat or flame to come in direct contact with the books. Only burn candles within the glass cylinder.
