ScaleBlaster SB-175 Water Conditioning System

I live in the Texas hill country on a private, unfiltered well. I purchased my 10 year old home about a year ago and quickly realized the previous owners didn't do anything about the limestone deposits building up in the pipes & faucets. I did a bunch of research on ways to clean out the pipes and was thrilled to come across tech. I was skepticial about it with all the mixed reviews but I had to do something and decided to try this first. I'm glad I did. I've had this installed for about 2 months now and can already see about a 30% increase in water flow at my more frequented faucets. Everything is working better because of the ScaleBlaster SB-75. I needed this unit because I was mounting it outside at my well and it's been working flawlessly.

I installed the ScaleBlaster SB-175 on January 18, 2016 following the instructions exactly.Each month I have check my faucets for scale and there appears to be more scale and not less scale.I tested my water for hardness before installation and each month since, there has been no change in the readings.I am careful to use the same procedure each month for the hardness test.I know there is no science to backup the claims the manufacture makes, however, I have a friend who installed the magnets and that friend is getting much less scale and the hard water and softened. That is why I took a chance and purchased this product,I cannot recommend this product to anyone.Please learn from my experience and do not but this product or products like it they simply do not work.

We have had it installed for about 6 weeks now. Installation was fairly easy but did require an exterior power source that we had installed for $100.00 by an electrician. The unit does appear to be working somewhat but the water still leaves scale on surfaces. The spots are smaller and easier to clean, though. The manufacturer says full effect in 90 days so we hope for more improvement.

I was skeptical at first, but it works great. No more need to descale the shower doors or the coffee maker. Clothes come out of the washing machine much cleaner. I have hot water tubes under my concrete floor, & I no longer worry about them plugging up with calcium scale. All this for just pennies to run, & I don't have to use salt at all.

Seems to have lessen the amount of scale in water. I can't see the biggest difference but my dad does and he is the one that ordered this. Seems really expensive to me. He had a hard time putting it together and getting it to work but I believe that was because he was a man that didn't want to read all directions.

Still gets buildup from minerals.

A couple of weeks with ScaleBlaster and it seems to be making a big difference. Disconnected the water softener and we'll see what happens.
