The violin arrived UNASSEMBLED! Nowhere in any of the photos do you see an unassembled violin. The strings were not set in the pieces at the bottom end of the violin, the wooden piece that holds the strings up (arched) was not attached, the strings were not attached to all of the pegs/keys at the neck. The case has chalk marks inside & out that will not come off. No instructions or directions were included to assemble it. I would have to pay to have someone put this together.

I wanted to get back into playing violin after years of playing when I was younger. I didn't want to spend a ton of money and figured $70 was a fair price. All I can say it your really paying for all of the extras, the violin itself was probably worth $20. The strings were off when I opened the box and everything needed to be completely adjusted, the notes would not stay in tune and the bow was horrible. only used it for 3 hours 1 1/2 hours of which was me setting it up and the bow completely lost half of it's hair. I really wish it was made better.

This product came with everything that was promised, but the violin is total crap. Even if you want this kit as a beginner, I advise against it. Basically don't buy this unless you're buying for the extras for a different violin. Everything from the sound of the strings to the pegs just screams low quality, but then again I guess you get what you pay for. The pegs keep wanting to pop out of place, and unravel my entire string, making it more difficult than is necessary to tune, especially for a beginner. I've tried rubbing rosin dust on the pegs, (which is supposed to give it better grip) which is what was recommended to me, but that only seems to be a temporary fix, because as soon as I go to tune the strings, it loses its seal and pops right back off again. I even tried peg drops to no avail. I ended up renting a student quality violin at my local luthier, which was much easier for me to use as a beginner. However this purchase wasn't a total loss as I now have a case, extra bow, tuner, extra rosin, etc. and music stand for my new violin

It came a day early, however I would rather it be a day late and at least assembled. The 1st and 4th string were broken, yet the replacement strings only included 1-3. The bridge wouldn’t stay, and neither would the pegs. No matter how hard you pushed them into the holes on the other side. It wouldn’t stay tuned on the strings I did have. I even had a professional take a look at it and he said the violin was probably something made in China and would sell by itself for about $10 and that the tuner was not worth the time. Everything else was okay but the violin was a piece of crap. He said to go to a real music store and get one from there instead. At least that will be worth it! Don’t bother, not worth it.

You are not buying a top of the line Violin if you are looking at this package. So you are getting what you are paying for. The Violin itself is low quality but a great starter Violin for a beginner without a huge investment. Is it something you want to stick with? No, but the sound quality is not bad for a low-end string. The strings are low-end Aluminium strings. Don't expect a professional sound. The bow is a low-end product not made to last for years. Now I ordered this and when it arrived it was only missing the Tuner and the Extra Set of Strings. Amazon was great by offering me a credit where I could purchase replacements. Yes, it is a hassle but I am happy with Amazon's response to the matter. The Seller not so happy with, but we all make mistakes. Overall I am happy with this purchase. I was not expecting a $300+ Violin and a set of Silver/Gold strings, or a well-balanced Carbon fiber bow for this price. You shouldn't either BUT for this price you getting quite a starter kit for a child to bang on and learn how to take care and tune of a Violin. If your child or yourself attain a passion and drive for playing you can always upgrade your Violin for a better quality after you put this one through your beginning paces.So in Closing;This product is a great buy for getting a lot of the extras you need without going overboard with name brand products pricing. It is a great trial outfit to see if you or your child wants to learn this string instrument. Yes, it goes out of tune a lot. The pegs in the pegbox do not keep placement very well so it slides out of pitch. But I see it as a chance to practice your tuning skills either by ear or by Tuner. Plus the slippage does allow it to keep from damaging the bridge or strings while you are moving it from place to place or sitting in the case breathing waiting till the next time you pick it up to play or learn.If you played before or you are looking for a replacement Violin for your practiced fingers to play I would advise to avoid this product. This is not a quality product for sound or playing with on the public grand stage.

eh. out of the box, we had to buy broken parts and pay to get it fixed. go to a local music store for a musical purchase instead.

I have played violin before and have decided to give it a try so I bought this because all the extras, and figured if I really liked playing I'd buy a better one later. It does tend to go out of tune, and there is something rattling around on the inside. I do like the extras just not sure about the tuner. The violin itself is beautiful, but I could be bias cause it my first violin. I do play on buying better strings to help with sound but I don't want to invest too much at the moment. If you are absolutely, 100% sure you want to learn violin then this probably isn't the violin for, but if you just want to try something out and have a beginner package then this would be great option.

oOnce I put peg drops in, put strings in place and bridge, it was playable. The bow hairs could be better quality though. Everything else was fine. I didn't expect a top of the line item for this price so I am not disappointed.

Violin is absolutely beautiful! My sister could not be happier!

It is acceptable for a student just learning to play. It was a bit damaged when if finally arrived. The bow had quite a few stands broke.But all in all it is a wonderful deal

The instrument wouldn't make any sound. and when it did it was very low and sound like a kid's toy violin. Return the item and did receive money back. Thank you for that.

No electric tuner like it says .

Sorry instrument one came broken and replacement needs $80 of repairs to make it play. Do not buy.

Absolutely garbage. Bridge continues to constantly slip out of place, it gets untuned every two seconds. Just over all highly disappointed by then again you pay for what you get.
