Beautiful, solid, sturdy. I have 2 large dogs. Highly recommended
Beautiful piece of furniture, very nicely crafted. The stairs are well made out of solid wood, the stain is lovely, the carpet fluffy. They cost more because they are made way better than all the others and will probably last for many years, and I think they are well worth the money. I have a 10-year-old 90-lb German Shepard-Lab mix and a 5-year-old 75-lb Golden Retriever, and the steps are totally solid and sturdy when they’re on them. I think these steps could easily support twice their weight and more. They don’t move even the tiniest bit when the dogs go up or down (on carpet). They are a bit narrower than other steps, but that was actually a positive factor for me and what I was looking for since we have limited space and it has to go alongside the bed. Even with that, my big dogs had no trouble fitting on them or navigating them. Going down them could be a bit trickier for other large dogs at first, but with practice it should be fine. Mine have been going up and down another set of steps to our living room window seat that are an inch wider for many years so they are used to it, and I believe all it takes is familiarity and practice (and maybe a few treats, which is what we did to train them to these kinds of steps when we got them.) Medium-size dogs should have no trouble with them, and I think they would be ok even for small dogs. My older, bigger dog has a hip problem and had not been getting up on our 32” high bed like usual, we think because of pain when he jumped off, and now he’s coming up like before. Both dogs and their parents are happy with these steps!

Definitely would recommend!
I spent a few weeks looking at and reading reviews for all kinds of pet steps (I'm rather particular about my dog because she is rather particular about, well, everything). This set of steps seemed like a good fit, though I was wary of the reviews where people said they had to bribe their dogs to use them with treats or had issues with thumping sounds when their dog went up and down. I purchased them anyway because our bed is too high for her to jump up on & down from without hurting herself, plus she has knee issues on her hind legs... and I wanted something solid, not one of those squishy steps. The steps arrived well protected & packaged, in tact, and no assembly was required. It's a very sturdy set & the wood goes well with the room. I placed the steps sideways against the bed and while my dog had no trouble going up, she had issues going back down & ended up jumping straight off the bed, but I'm fairly sure that was because the steps were all the way up against the bed. I pulled them out away from the bed a few inches, and she went up & down without hesitation after that. This actually surprised me - she doesn't take well to changes or new things, and when they happen it takes her several days, even several weeks, to adjust. She took right to these steps within minutes after minimal coaching (and NO treats!), though, so I'm completely pleased with them and would recommend to anyone looking for steps for their small dogs. For reference, my dog is a 13lb chihuahua/min pin mix, and my bed is about 32 inches high, floor to mattress top. I almost purchased the 3 step version of these steps instead, but it would not have been tall enough for her.

One Happy Pooch.
Finally, stairs that are sturdy and don't slide. My 12 year old Black Mouth Cur loves these stairs. It took about 4 days of guiding him but now he just goes on the bed easily by himself. I purchased the 4 stairs as my bed is high.Excellent quality and the carpet runner in the middle is terrific so he doesn't slip. The stairs are against the bed and do not move or slide. The craftmanship is also very nice.I shopped around as I wanted stairs that were safe and that my best guy could feel safe with. These stairs were more costly than some but I could not be more pleased as they are a great value.I give these stairs a big 5 Star** and I know my best friend does as well.

The Best Pet Steps EVER!
These Pet Steps are awesome! The quality and workmanship is exceptional. They honestly look and feel like a quality piece of furniture. They are more than well worth the price. Don't waste your money on cheap plastic pet steps that break down and wobble under your dog - these steps are sturdy and far safer than those plastic pet steps. I have purchased many different types and styles of the plastic pet steps over the years and none of them even come remotely close to these steps. I highly, highly recommend this product!!

Great product - after I finished repairing it.
Steps were as advertised and delivered quickly. The reason I gave 3 stars for craftsmanship was the top step came off when I first lifted the steps out of the packing crate. It was immediately apparent the fasteners used to attach the top step to the riser were pushed flat against the step and never secured this top piece to the stairs.Took me about an hour with wood glue and finishing nails complete the assembly on an otherwise very satisfactory product.

Better than great
These are pricey but they are absolutely the best. I will never have to replace them so I will certainly get my money's worth out of them. They are heavy and stay in place when my 35 pound doxie mix bounds up them. He's very skittish about stairs but one time going up these and he was as hooked as I am. And they're attractive too. It's a functional piece of very nice furniture. Go for it.....you won't be sorry!

Tall Solid Wood Pet Steps
I bought these because I am really getting fearful of my French bulldog jumping on and off my very high King size bed. I'm so afraid he's going to hurt his back so I purchased these steps and they are wonderful. They are really very solidly built, probably weigh about 40 pounds, won't get moved around on their own and I like that he has the added grip of the carpeted steps. He really is enjoying using them and I feel better that he has them. My cockers spaniels use them as well - just for the fun of it.
