Extra Small Far Infrared Heating Pad - 10"x8"

I have my own larger far infrared heating mat, so I bought this one for my dog who is getting older and has a little arthritis in his back. I just keep it on a lower setting and he loves it! Also doubles as a great tummy warmer for me when I have cramps :)

I bought this item for travel as a smaller option to my large one, but what the picture doesn't show is the very heavy and giant electrical cord contraption. You have to plug one plug into a heavy box-like thing with a chord that has the plug that goes into an outlet.It works well, but there's not much point when it weighs as much as a larger one (at least mine). I guess it is good if your primary objective is to target one small area and nothing else. It also does not get as hot as my larger, similar one.I am not sure what the materials are on this, but you might want to inquire about that. When it heats, your pores open and I'm guessing all that plastic goodness goes right into your bloodstream. Probably not so healthy. It does also off-gas, so keep that in mind is you are concerned with toxicity.

The heat comes from small ceramic pieces, which are hard. The "stones" are covered by netting. I bought the pad for my aging cat. He tears up the netting, but doesn't like to lay on the pad - not even when I cover it with a towel. I bought a different infrared pad, which he loves.

I ordered one before but it was too big. This was the right size. Shipped fast. This is a good heating pad.
