We have a 14 year old Pittie mix who has bad arthritis and cataracts. At night she can get really confused and stressed. She needed a new calming bedh so we tried this. I wasn't sure about the removable base but she has loved it. She burrows under it when she wants to, or cuddles into it like it's another fuzzy dog, or she sleeps atop it. The filler is a little misshapen inside after 3 weeks of this but she loves it. It's really helped her not stress at night and she'll come up to it throughout the day. So we love it too.

My dog really enjoys the bed, it's perfect for her to sleep on. However, it's not a good idea to put a Kong toy on the bed because my dog drools on it when she's trying to get the treats. Although the bed doesn't stay as soft as when you first get it after a few months, it's still comfortable.

My little cinnamon roll LOVES this bed. It's so soft and she is very happy with it. My only complaint would be that it is, well.. very soft. At 35lbs my pup squishes the sides down completely if she puts more than her head on them.

My pup had this bed for 10 months and she’s loved it. It has flattened out almost completely in under a year. I am repurchasing a new bed but would be cautious if you’re looking for something more long lasting.

Update April 24th: 3 *** I bought the first one August 2020 and I gave it five stars. It washed well it's stayed well shaped and I still love it which is why I bought a second one for my new rescue dog. I opened it up and I know it takes time to un-decompress but the center pillow donut part feels like it's only 2/3 full. The other one is still full and firm and holds its shape. It's hard to see in the photo. The one on the right is the one I bought in August of last year and it's plump and the new one just kind of is like a squishy pillow is just lacking about 1/3 of the filling.So I'm rather disappointed that I didn't get the same quality of the first one.Aug 2020. 5***** I don’t usually write reviews immediately as I’d like to wait to see how happy I am with the product. I am going to make an exception with this I received the Hachikitty calming donut cuddler dog bed two days ago. My dog immediately ran over and got into it. I’m a little jealous because usually she lays on the couch with me and she chose the bed over me LOL. I did a lot of research before buying this and I noted that in all the beds there was a common thread complaint about the dog sinking down around the center pillow whether it was a one piece bed or if it was a two-piece which this one is.First let me tell you the bag came out of the box and once I opened it it fluffed right up. It’s thick both on the sides of the donut and also on the pillow. As you can see in one of the photos she likes to slide between the center pillow and the outer donut which means she is actually sitting on the floor with her lower legs. To correct that and keep her from sitting on the floor I took one of her 50 x 60 blanket that I had for her and I laid it under the pillow and then punched it up around the pillow and it keeps her from sliding down and gives a little extra padding. I’m totally happy with the results! And again as I said I read that that was a common complaint both for the one piece and the two pieces beds.My dog is a 15-month-old chiweenie and weighs about 18 pounds. I did get the medium because I wanted room for her to be able to stretch out as she does when she sleeps on her side. She loves it, she immediately went over and laid in it. Sometimes she’s on top of the pillow and sometimes she’s half in the groove but she absolutely loves it. She came home today she had her shots at the vet and wasn’t feeling well and she immediately went over there and spent the day laying on her little bed. Definitely would recommend the bed.As for quality of the bed it’s fluffy and it wasn’t tangled. It’s looking very nice. It’s fluffy and thick and the donut part holds it shape when she lays on the edge. Bottom of the bed is just a piece of material keep it from sliding, there’s no padding. As I said I did put a blanket in there and pad the opening to provide some support for her and it works perfectly I’m totally satisfied. As far as the shag on it yes when you pull apart the shag and look down it’s in bedded in it looks like a little more open weave. I don’t believe she could tear it with her nails while turning around trying to find a position to lay comfortably. I would say I wouldn’t of bought this when she was in her chewing stage where she chewed on and tore open all of her beds. She’s now 15 months and she’s passed that stage and so far she hasn’t tried to bite on it. I’ll give an update in a couple months to see how it holds up but right now I would definitely recommend it. As I said I don’t usually write an immediate comment about a product that I buy until I can see how it works out but this I’m extremely happy with!

Our 14-year-old 9KG Maltese cross is in love with this bed. It has become his "go to" bed in preference to all other beds including an expensive orthopedic bed! Got him a "large" size as he is a longish (62cm end to end) doggy which seems to suit him well.After 7 months of daily use it still looks brand new.

Our elderly golden retriever has ignored a number of beds over the years, mostly destroying them as a younger dog.This bed is probably the best money we’ve ever spent on a pet product. The dogs love it, clearly find it very comfortable. Several months in and it’s holding up well.

Looks nice, feels soft. Didn't last long, one of my Bostons tried to drag the bed, made a hole, there was stuffing outside the bed.. Hope the puppy didn't eat any
