These shoes are really comfortable! They are legit jelly shoes though. They are plastic, so I don't imagine they would breath at all. I don't like the look of jelly shoes (and I don't think I saw anywhere that they were, before I purchased), I wanted something that looked moreformal. That being said, they conform to your foot, and that is why they are so comfortable. There isn't a ton of "comfortable stuff" (like normal "comfortable heels") on the soles of the shoes, but that doesn't bother me. The bottoms are grippy enough to run in, but I can still turn comfortably on hardwood floors.The gold glitter is darker than most gold shoes (more like gold jewelry) and is encased in plastic, so there isn't a trail of gold glitter everywhere I go. I also feel like these shoes will stay on, my heel won't slip out, which is a must for heels.
