You gotta love flic
Great if you would rather press a button than talk to Alexa. For those times when you want to stop or start music playing or turn off a light without waking a loved one. “ALEXA TURN OFF LIGHT”, or “click”, you decide.

Replaced my smartthings buttons with these
While my smartthings buttons worked, it was often hit and miss, and there was always a delay. Now I have these flic buttons, everything is fast, reliable and works perfectly. Love them.

Would be fantastic if they were reliable
I've owned a dozen buttons and a hub for roughly 2 years. Some buttons are connected to the hub, some to my phone, depending on use case. They all seemed to work fine for a few months, then gradually started to have issues one by one. At the time of writing 2 buttons report being online (one with my phone, one with the hub), the rest are just greyed out in the app and are 'on standby'. Good luck working out what that means. Basically, dead. One reports low battery, despite minimal use.Such a shame. Great concept, great when they work, but in my experience, totally unreliable, and no solutions to my problems are readily available. Can't recommend.

Really not clear why these need a gateway...
Perhaps should have been clear - but the documentation around these is not great. Why isn't there a simple button that can be linked to Alexa to initiate a routine?

Work well so far
I'm happy so far. 3 buttons set up in my elderly mother's house. 2 buttons call my mobile phone directly through Alexa and one acts as a simple doorbell to her main doorway, again through Alexa.

Not worth the money
Poor product always looses Bluetooth I would assume you need a hub to make it work properly Even with my iPhone 11 Pro beside me at night it lost Bluetooth Over hyped item JUST USE ALEXA

Not for me - not enough BT range
I purchased 6 Flic Buttons after reading great reviews on them, easy to use, and more importantly I wouldn't need the hub as I can simple integrate them to Home Assistant. I have had these button now for 2 months, and finally managed to see them in Home Assistant. The fact is, without major investment, time, it is a near impossible task for these to work as they should. I have invested days of research, testing and evidently failing. I cannot comment how good these are with a Hub, but these are NOT cheap buttons. I have now decided to stop wasting my money and time with these. The issue with HA integration, is it still relies on Bluetooth and these buttons which are placed, downstairs, upstairs don't connect, just keep dropping so you can press a button and nothing will happen.I have 4 linked to my phone, which work 60% of the time every time, I have tried connecting my Sonos but it didn't connect. It seems you cannot purchase the Hub by itself, I don't want more buttons, but I refuse to blow yet more money on these when for me they have been nothing but a nightmare. My wife hates them, the kids get frustrated that they don't switch their light on, I get frustrated that I have wasted days and lots of cash on something I thought would be brilliant but instead just given me yet another headache. If you buy these, then get the HUB, without the hub you need your phone in the house for these to work even 60% of the time. As I say, I can't comment with the hub, but without, my advice is go with Zigbee (Hue Switch) BT is unreliable and hasn't enough range.
