Infections of a Different Kind of Human Japan-Only

I accidentally stumbled upon Aurora because I was watching a Warduna video. I heard one of her other songs and was like "do I go down this rabbit hole?" I waited for a bit then I came back when I heard "It Happened Quiet." That song is pure genius. I'm someone who collects a ton of music from artists all over the world. I've never heard anything quiet like that piece of music. Aurora has a very unique voice and lyrics that are quite a bit older than her actual age in years. It really was her lyrics that drew me in more than the music itself (if that makes sense). I'm happy to now be a fan and tell other people to buy her music as well. This is far superior than the "pop" music you find here in the United States. As for this particular Japanese release (which contains both Infections of a Different Kind, and A Different Kind of Human, plus the "Exist for Love" song which came out in 2020) it is really well put together. The linear notes are in Japanese and English, they did a nice job with the inside part. I feel like these two albums are quite a bit more hmmm..mature than her first release? Hard to put a finger on but some of the songs are more interesting lyrically. To me the climax musically of these two is It Happened Quiet, though I also enjoy Forgotten Love, Day Dreamer, Soulless Creatures, The Seed, The River, and Exist for Love. Exist for Love sounds a bit different, reminds me of much older music (and not her) but that is fine too, the live version of The River is really great. To me the unique parts of her songwriting really shine in these particular numbers. She can do some really fun techniques with her voice where you would always recognize "oh that is Aurora singing" not just some random autotuned-hollywood churn and burn singer. I really hope her career and music continue to grow so we can listen to it.

If you are a fan of Aurora you are already familiar with why people buy her music. The reason i bought this particular CD is because i wanted to listen to Queendom in my car while driving. It is just such an uplifting amazing emotionally positive song. But there is more...... extra tracks but additionally great care has been made to make the emotional landscape of the ORDER of the songs absolutely PERFECT.I AM TOTALLY thrilled.

Saw Aurora recently live and she is every bit as authentic and 'real' as her records suggest. Her incredible voice is a perfect but organic 'synthesiser' complementing her words and thoughts perfectly. This Japanese CD is Infections of a Different Kind of Human.. which is Step One comprising 8 distinct tracks... then leading directly into Step Two which is the full album released as A Different Kind of Human, followed by two bonus tracks.. bringing the track list to 21 tracks.. they are all brilliant .. no filler.. which is incredibly rare in my experience. Take away the corporate side of all that is good in music.. you end up with Aurora. Search you Tube.. you will not be disappointed... she deserves authentic and massive support.

I'd been hoping to buy CD of Infections of a Different Kind for a few years. Usually it's only available in MP3 format. This CD was well worth the wait because it is a two album set (Infections of a Different Kind & A Different Kind of Human). It has bonus tracks as well. Highly recommended!

Yes, this is the Aurora CD to get with both Infections of a Different Kind and A Different Kind if Human on the same CD! I was concerned that since it was made for the Japanese market that my CD player may not be able to read it. Well. it works perfectly well in my player in Charlotte, NC. Excellent music, every song is perfection! Get it now!

AURORA is simply the best female vocalist and songwriter on the music scene today!

Just came in the mail today. It's in great condition and plays just like it should! Thankfully there is English text to know what song you are listening to.

Si no me equivoco, la versión común o más fácil de encontrar de este disco es "A different kind of human (step II)", que aunque si es más barato, cómo fan de Aurora recomiendo mucho más esta versión, que tiene la ya mencionada y también "Infectons of a different kind of human (step I)" que vendría siendo en sí el álbum completo. Vale mucho la pena.

I was worried when only one disc came out of the package, but to my surprise they managed to fit all that goodness on the single disc.Nicely packaged, good manual, amazing music. 10/10

Aurora is my new favourite artist, discovered last year, and she is utterly wonderful, head and shoulders above anyone else I’ve heard in recent years. What’s more she’s amazing live and is utterly lovely in person (yes, I’ve met her). And she is such a champion for inclusivity, positivity and hope, even in the face of sadness and despair, something addressed in many of her songs. If her music touches you, it REALLY touches you. She is just a blessing.

Ein Wahnsinns Album, jeder Song ein Hammer. Auch die anderen Alben kann ich nur empfehlen.
