It's a $19 clip on lens. You get what you pay for. It definitely zooms stuff in. But you're going to want to mount it to a tripod of some kind.

I'm thrilled with the lens. It has the solid feel of a well-made accessory. Photos viewed on my iPhone 6S are sharp and clear. Positioning the lens is critical. I may mark the phone's case, but for now, I look through the lens as I mount it to center it on the camera lens, then check the display. The clip is strong keeping the lens in position even with a fair amount of manipulation. When not on the camera, the lens makes a nice monocular. A rubber eye-cup would be a nice accessory. The box says the near focus limit is 3 meters, but mine focuses down to 1 (about 3').

It has a nice appearance, appears to be well constructed with an easy to turn focusing ring and lens caps. The phone clip is also well constructed, has a metal nut / receptacle set into the plastic clip to hold the lens and has slip resistant pads. It will work with most smartphone. It just clips on with a clothesline style clip. It comes with lens caps for both sides of the lens but no carrying pouch or case. It has a pretty nice heavy build quality. Although it does offer a good amount of zoom it unfortanely has a moderate amount of barrel distortion. All of the photos you take will likely have a bit of distortion but I guess that's a fair trade for the amount of zoom you get. I used mine with the case on and off but I do recommend removing your case when using it for maximum image quality and to prevent any light leakage around the edges of the lens.The clip can be used with my wide-angle, macro and fisheye lenses (though I do not know why I would use this clip for those lens unless one of the clips break which does not seem likely). And being a clip, It will probably be able to be used on any current and future phone. I have a case on all my phones I tested with and it worked with them all. But how it fit against the camera on the phone was slightly different on each depending on the case deign. The thinner cases fit cleaner as expected. First is an image without any zoom or lens attached out the window.I absolutely love love love this!!! I bought this lens because it said that it was 10x (25% more powerful than my existing 8x lens (no-name import from China purchased on ebay for less than 6 dollars i think)), and I wanted to try a lens with a clip phone attachment (my 8x lens has to be used with a special phone back that fits over the phones existing back).It has a nice appearance, appears to be well constructed with an easy to turn focusing ring and lens caps. That means that I can share it and use it on phones that I will own in the future.I am disappointed with the lens' and clips optical performance when compared to my 8x lens. The main reason for gettiing this new lens was the 25% power/magnification increase (10x vs my other lens that is 8x). However, when I compared the 2 lens, the magnification of the 10x was far less than the magnification of my 8x lens and short, medium and long distances. And the clarity of the 10x lens is far inferior to my 8x lens.The new phone clip needs some maneuvering to line it up optimally on the phone and the clip does slip when focusing the lens if not handled very gently and i'm concerned that it could slip off the phone entirely if not handled gently (unlike my other telephoto lens (no-name import from China purchased on ebay for about 6 dollars) that attaches via a phone back that the lens screws onto - this new 10x lens does not fit it the the screw receptacle on the 8x lens' phone back). The 10x lens also does not have a wrist strap or place to attach one (my 8x does).So, instead of it replacing my 8x lens, I'll use this one on our boat, after tying a string onto the clip. I did receive this at a discounted price in exchange for my honest and unbiased opinion. It is a good product but not a great one.
