Instead, using a cloth measuring tape and measure your dog’s neck where the collar would normally sit, not high by his ears or too low where his chest and shoulders meet. The tape should be flush with your dog’s neck without slack, there is no need for the ‘two finger’ rule. If you don’t have a cloth tape, you can use a piece of string, or a shoelace and measure with a ruler after you determine the fit.

Best collar on the market :)
Very cute collar. Well made. Soft, comfortable (I think)I ordered one that was too big at first, but the seller clearly said "don't use the 2 finger rule" so that was my own fault. I exchanged it for a smaller size and it fit my dog perfectly. The color was exactly the same as the one in the picture and the material seems top notch.I like that the smaller versions are thin. It's hard to find a thin collar for some reason. I love this collar and my puppy seems very happy in it.I would definitely recommend this collar for an everyday, lightweight, stylish collar for dogs. It's very pretty!

It's a beautiful, leather lined
I bought the caramel color in the 10"-12" size for my black and tan min pin. It's a beautiful, leather lined, leather collar with sturdy grommets for the size holes. I'm saving it for her Christmas stocking, but when the kids open it for her and she gets to wear it, I will definitely add pics and update my review if need be. It will look beautiful against her dark coat.I did receive a nice discount in exchange for this review, but I review almost everything I buy here and most are not at a discount. Pretty nice for the price!
This is one of the sturdiest collars I have come across and it's not my first leather one. My Pyrenees-Labrador is a very patient girl who often has a Catahoula mix pup yanking on her collar if not her ears. Said pup has destroyed numerous collars this way and nothing seemed to stand up to it because he would chew on her collar whenever we left after breaking him from doing so in front of us. Until now. Other than a couple of superficial indentions he has yet to tear this one.My only complaint? The slickness of the inside of the leather. She has a thick ruff of fur and her skin chaffs if a collar is too tight in that area. With less slick collars we haven't had an issue of her slipping out but she has twice with this one. I made an extra hole which kind of helped but it's slightly chafing her so I regularly apply an organic mixture to combat that.Overall? Not a bad collar, especially for the price. Definitely recommended if you have puppies or dogs in the house that chew on each other's collars. Not as recommended for dogs with thick neck ruffs of fur that are prone to chafing.

Good quality gold-colored leather collar....great find, especially for golden/blonde doggies!
This is a lovely collar...it's not easy to find gold-colored ones, and while this is called 'carmel', it's just perfect.The leather and the hardware show very good quality--and the medium size truly does fit nicely for 14" - 18" necks.No worry about going bigger, it's size as described. Any blonde, caramel-colored dog would be prancing with thiscollar.

I especially like that it is not too wide
For a large sized dog collar, the price was very reasonable. It appears to be very well made, and the color is just as shown in the picture, a very vibrant pink. I especially like that it is not too wide, 1 inch, because my Aussie is a giant fur ball and the fur does not tangle up in it. I hung all of her "medals" on it and it looks great ! Thanks for a quality product and I was NOT given a discount for my review, just a happy consumer...

Not what I ordered...
I ordered two matching red collars for my dogs - both boys. The collars I received appear to be excellent leather quality, however, even though both were tagged as "red," one was pink. It was definitely mislabeled, and not "off" because even the thread was white instead of red. I'm shocked that someone put both collars together in one package when one was clearly not red. I returned the pink collar and ordered another red collar. Four days later, SAME RESULT. I still have one pink collar and one red collar. I am at a loss of how to get two matching red collars...

Great Collar for a GREAT price!
This leather collar is really pretty but also seems soft and pliable, unlike some stiff collars, which I like. I love the grommets around the holes for the buckle too. The collar is true to size which is also a plus. The buckle and the tag holder are also very well made. Very happy with my purchase- I will definitely order again!

Real leather but has some sizing issues
The color is indeed leather. There's a little more purple and that I would have cared for I wanted a true pink. That aside the only complaint that I have is one it was too large I had to make an extra hole, and secondly the D ring Bentley snaps onto is too small and I have to fight with it to get the class to close. If that D ring or just a little larger it sure would be nice
