This is a good product with a heavy gauge cable and good connectors. I compared it with another brand carried by Lowe's and this one is much better.My main complaint is that the "T" used to connect each light it is not aligned in the same plane with each other and so you will see some lights properly hanging and others having their T in a 90 degrees angle. Odd, and it does not look like the robust cable is going to twist itself to accommodate...If you are thinking in hanging the whole string from just two points, you can do it without adding galvanized wire. I measured the weight of a whole string with lamps and the AWG14 strain wires alone can manage the load more than comfortably. (UPDATE: I decided to cut short a portion of one of the strings and took the opportunity to check the wire gauge. Each cable is composed of 39 strands of 0.26 mm diameter, which is equivalent to 2.07 sq mm, or AWG14)If you are thinking in connecting several together I recommend you secure them using four 10~12" cable ties, some good electrical tape (3M recommended), and finish it with liquid tape to provide water proofing. Check the pictures attached. The silicone piece used to provide extra electrical protection is optional.Finally, with the lamps provided, each string consumes ~115W (measured, the nominal is 11*12W = 132W). In California, where Edison charges $0.29/KW (Tier3) it means that if you turn them on for five hours on Saturdays and Sundays it will cost you $1.44/month in electricity.

Bought these for a party. They lit our porch beautifully. They are very sturdy and well made and I appreciated the extra edison bulbs that came with them. I bought 2 as they were on sale. I've been wanting these kind of "cafe" lights with the cool edison bulbs but they are so expensive! Not these though! I thought they were very affordable! And I love them. I turn them on every night and they're just gorgeous.I've had these a few months now. They've been outside in all kinds of extreme Florida weather. Sever rain, wind, and cold and I'm sure they'll do great this summer. They're still gorgeous. Not even a bulb has blown out from any weather or anything else for that matter. I really appreciate the construction as well. There is a hole for hooking the lights up. The rubber is high quality and very sturdy. You could hang these up and leave them year round, at least here in the south. I think these lights are the best value out there. The folks at Amlight seem friendly and conscientious. I'm not receiving anything from them.... this is a real review. Love supporting this company with it's great products.

These lights are perfection. They arrived fast and each bulb was individually bubble wrapped in divided cardboard sections in a separate box inside a bigger box with the socket cord. No breakage and extra bulbs included. I ordered 4 sets and they are all perfect and work fine. Soft golden light and beautiful. Heavy duty. We strung them across heavy gauge picture type wire. They make our patio so lovely. Spend the extra money and get these. Bulbs are spaced 2 feet apart.

These are some beautiful lights. I ended up buying this string along with a 48-foot string sold from a hardware store. The brands were different, but the wire, sockets, and bulbs were identical (I suspect most brands selling these come from the same factory somewhere). One big difference with this set is the number of bulbs per strand - having a bulb every 2 feet instead of 3 feet is really nice.

I have wanted patio lights for our deck for a long time and originally purchased some regular string globe lights. Big mistake! The first time a big storm came through some of the lights shattered making a huge mess on our deck. So this time I decided to go with commercial lights and could not be happier! They are heavy duty, but that's a good thing when they will be hanging outside for most of the year. Plus they were so much easier to hang! At each bulb there is a small loop where you can slip them right over an eye hook. So easy! My biggest fear was that they would be super bright since they are commercial lights, but they are actually a softer light than the regular set I bought and they send spare bulbs with the set! I couldn't be happier with this set of lights!

Perfect, very heavy duty, certainly commercial grade, and they sent plenty of extra bulbs as well, no bulbs were broken and I got two shipments on different dates -- one was a reorder. I will be buying a 3rd. set soon. A bit expensive, but worth it for durability and quality. They send a plug for the end to waterproof it should you not be adding a string on at the end.

These are the best lights ever. I was getting tired of constantly replacing cheap white strings of lights. I don't have a backporch fixture, so these strings are the ticket! They are extremely nice looking and put out a decent amount of illumination - not too bright, yet not too dim. The remote is an extra plus - I don't have to go out into bad weather to turn the lights on and you don't have to stand right in front of the adapter to use the remote. All in all, I am very pleased with this purchase.

When I first got this and put all the bulbs in it wouldn't come on and I thought it was defective. Even after tightening all the bulbs and checking the bulb filaments were intact - it didn't come on. What I had to do was take the bulbs out and use a screw driver to lift the copper contact strip inside each socket (with it unplugged of course!). Then the bulbs were able to make contact when screwed in all the way. After that...all is good.

These were a little more money than others I found on Amazon, but well worth the difference in price, built better, by far
