My Two Parakeets Love Their New Home
My parakeets and I love this cage. Having the plexiglass front and back make it so much better to view the birds and it looks really pretty in my livingroom where I keep the birds. At first they flew into the plexiglass because they did not realize it was there-- but after a couple of bumps they learned not to do that. There are doors in both sides of the cage, and slats in the ceiling where you can hang toys etc. To make them easier to access, take off the solid plastic top. I read reviews where people said it was hard to put together, but I just took my time and focused on the task, and I had no problem at all assembling it in about 20 minutes. Tip: if you are having trouble putting a piece together, you are probably putting it in backwards, so flip it and try again. No pieces are hard to snap onto each other if you are holding them at the correct angle. I tried to put the top grid on upsidedown, but after I realzied it and flipped it over, it slid on with ease. I did not put on the hanging wires, since I will not be hanging it up, and that made assembly even easier. To put the plexi glass on, first slowly peel of the brown paper, then you bend it and put it into the grooves on either side of the cage. It comes with two perches, and the deep slide out bottom that make clean up easy. I did not even open the feeding dishes since i read all the bad reviews on them. I did not mind since i have some really nice ceramic dishes I use to feed and water the birds. I think it is the perfect size for two parakeets or canaries, too small for more than two birds or larger birds, IMHO. My birds really seem happy in this cage, more than their old wire one. I love it too because I can see my cute birdies so much better now! You and your birds will love this cage. Give it a try!

Waste of money. Zero stars.
I am disappointed in this purchase.**Acrylic cracks and breaks easily, I attempted to keep a cockatiel in one, and if you have cocktiels you know how much feather dust they have. I like to keep a clean cage, and weekly removing and replacing acrylic to throughly wipe down is clearly too much on the acylic. I don't believe I handled the cages too rough.**The bowls seem to be junk in my opinion. Trying to refill 6 of them was a challenge. After buying new bowls it seemed to crowd the cages and in my opinion no longer seemed like enough room for my 2 budgies to play. So anyone with something bigger then a parakeet in this is nuts. Get a bigger cage, this is not suitable for cockatiels, conures or quakers.**The wood perches are great design, but I have a couple that had the plastic clips(the part that holds the perch in place) break easily and unexpectedly. **If you use uv lighting for your birds under the roof of the cage you must keep a thermometer in side and keep an eye on the temp. These cages looked great with lighting and fully set up, but after as many issues as I have had with them in under 2 months I already replaced them with traditional sturdy cages. So I'm stuck with 3 of these cages and I'm out $245 on completely junk. I could of bought a very nice big cage for that price. I'm not sure if they can be disassembled without breaking so I'm probably about to throw them away to get them out of my way if they won't callapse down for storage.I wish I never bought these cages. I feel ripped off.

awesome idea, needs a lot of work.
So as soon as I opened it I noticed it was really dirty, and the door latch on the right side just broke off I didnt even open it! So now its latched shut with a binder clip. Also one of the plexiglass panels is damaged like a burn or something. Everything was easy to put together until I got to the roof section. The wires had to be bent into place and even then they do not fit with the washers on. At the end I said screw it and just stuck the top on. This cage should never be hung up.Also just toss the water and feeder that comes with it like everyone says the feeder gets stuck a lot and the water leaks all over the place!Pros: Looks nice, spacious, top can be removed for more air circulation since theres a grate over it, managed to fit a lot of toys in tooCons: CHEAPLY MADE. But if you can live with that then this cages is pretty nice.If an improved design comes out id like to trade in for it.

It is aesthetically pleasing and my birds seem to enjoy it. Set-up was easy
I first purchased this cage last year for my Jenday Conure and just recently bought another one for my two Green Cheek Conures. I absolutely adore this "habitat". It is aesthetically pleasing and my birds seem to enjoy it.Set-up was easy. Unless you are going to hang the cage (which I do not recommend though have not tried) I set the wires aside that are included with the cage and ignored them altogether. The Plexiglas included with the cage that serve as the front and back panels seem fine to me - neither too thin or too thick. Use a spray bottle to wet it down and used a microfiber cloth to dry the panel and avoid scratching the Plexi when you give it a cleaning.I've actually taken to opening and closing the front Plexiglas panel to quickly take out my birds instead of fiddling with the cage doors on either side, though they are easy enough to open. In fact, my crafty Jenday has figured out how to open them, so if you have a rascal of a parrot I'd suggest some sort of additional reinforcement for the cage bar doors. As you can see, I discovered that these cages are modular and stack quite nicely (I removed the top from one cage and left the top lid on). Compare these units to the $1000+ acrylic stackable cages you can find on the internet. My birds drink from water bottles, which hang at the side of the cages. Use your own bowls for food, as the included food/water dispensers are frustrating to work with on a daily basis. Mess outside of the cage is greatly reduced. Finally, I love seeing my birds clearly and they seem to prefer it over their old cages with only bars. I would highly recommend this cage to anyone looking to have a great looking cage and a much easier time cleaning their bird's habitat.
