Wife Loves Them...
I had the chance to test these Colored Pencils for Adult Coloring Books by Chroma Fine Art, Pack of 48 Oil Based Coloring Pencils in Protective Case, Colored Pencil Set with Numbers Sold by: KNLCS and jumped at the chance as my wife is one that likes to color to relax. When they arrived they came in a cardboard cylinder about 9" tall and maybe 2.5" in diameter. This cylinder protected the pencils perfectly as there weren't any broken tips. 48 beautiful colors and not one repeat. They are oil based leads which in my opinion makes the lead stronger and easier to use and sharpen. They sharpen well with just a little hand sharpener. Each pencil is black with the brand name stamped on the pencil as well as each pencil is numbered ( I assume the number goes with the color of the pencil ). All the colors that I can think of and a lot more are included. even black and white. When my wife used them she said they were great. It didn't take a lot of pressure to use them. she has used a lot of different brands of pencils and she said these were up there with the best she has used. Looks like these pencils has made the wife happy and you know what they say, Happy Wife, Happy Life.I received this product at a discount in exchange for my honest and unbiased review, which is what I have given here. I welcome comments both positive and negative.

Budget friendly set to get more nature colors
I would make the statement that this is a must get budget set of colors and is a great addition to a set of really cheap color pencils. The lead is hard and doesn't break easily. The cylinder case is great for on the go. They seems to sharpen fine with hand sharpener.Pros:budget friendlynice adult color selections (greens and browns--nature)hard leads don't break easily, but takes more pressure or layers to get bright colorsslightly higher quality than the cheap children's color pencilsPerfect for coloring without much shading or blendingI still think this is a great supplement to a big pack or crayola or similar color pencils.Cons:No labels (either name or #) (I made my own)No whiteNo really red color (in my opinion)Light shading leaves white paper showing throughTakes a lot of work to color with these. Not recommended for someone with arthritis or similar condition.Different colors take different amounts of pressure to transfer pigment to paper. See attached pictures. This makes it difficult to learn techniques because each time you switch pencils the application of pigment is different.*I made my own numbering system with sharpie oil based silver paint pen - extra fine.I attached a picture of some of the pencils with my labels and my color chart. I did struggle with color classification, but I like my system.** Two photos of a coloring page I am working on. Experimenting with shading (pressure/layers) and blending colors. In the center I was able to blend yellow and pink. I struggled with shading purple from dark to light. I was unable to blend another pink with green. The pink took a lot of pressure and burnished the paper and the green took very light pressure to get nice color coverage. After the pink was applied the green would not color over top. I am happy with the effect I created, but it was not what I expected.

Rainbow tube of goodness
I love this compact tube of pencils. I’m new to the adult coloring world. I am not new to art supplies, having doodled since middle school (25 years now, yikes) and I must have not had very good quality colored pencils in the past because these pencils are pretty good quality!I have several adult coloring books now and some paper that is rated as ‘good’ for colored pencils. Nothing fancy, just something to mess around with it. My 4-year old and I now have ‘coloring’ time. You can use a single color for a while and the tip doesn’t break or crumble. The pigment is very bright. The color goes on smoothly, there is no weird consistency left on the paper. I like that I can pop this tube in my bag and the pencils stay protected. It’s a sturdy tube.I am not connected in any way to this company but I received this product at a discount in exchange for my honest opinion. I use reviews myself when shopping online and I hope this is useful information for you. Don't hesitate to ask questions and I will update if there is a problem in the future. Please see attached pictures if you would like to see the coolness factor up close.

I am very happy with my book and the color pencils I chose ...
I am very happy with my book and the color pencils I chose although the pencils are a little pale went I paint with them I found out that when I do color all I have to do is dip the tip of the pencil in water very slighlly as I am painting and the color of the pencil intensifies and releases a more deeper color.

Not good
These are not pigmented at all, I'm including a picture of a drawing done mostly with these Prismacolor Pencils except for one flower, I've pointed it out with white arrows but I don't think I needed to as it's pretty obvious. The colors I picked out indicated that they should be DARK, so I was expecting them to look similar or even darker than the Prismacolors I had been using. Instead they were extremely light and difficult to use. I do not recommend at all.

THE BEST COLORED PENCILS BY CHROMA!!
I received my Chroma Fine Art colored pencils yesterday and I have to say that they are fabulous!! They colors are true and very smooth. You don't have to press down hard on them. I'm 54 years old and I have always enjoyed coloring but I always used crayola crayons. I never liked colored pencils. But I never knew that there were better colored pencils. My daughter gave me an adult coloring book for Christmas and I am hooked. I've bought numerous colored pencil sets. I have prisma soft core pencils, two different types of Staedtler colored pencils and at least three different more brands. The chroma are my favorite by far. I paid for all of my products. This is the only review that I have written out of all my purchases.
