I'm usually a skeptic when it comes to these types of devices. The reviews for this were reasonably good so I thought I'd give it a try. I received it today and couldn't wait to use it. I have to say, it worked very well on my long wavy hair. My hair is not terribly thick, but it seems like it would handle thicker hair easily. This is way easier to use than a straightening iron, and I love that you can set the temperature. CAUTION: This device can get VERY HOT! The temp ca be changed from Celsius to Fahrenheit by pressing both the + & - keys simultaneously. The instructions make no mention of this, I found it by accident. The instructions are based on Celcius temp settings.It heats up very fast, less than 5 minutes. It took less than 10 minutes to style my hair, a vast improvement on other methods. My only complaint, and the reason I gave it four stars instead of five, is the temperature control is on the handle right where you hold it to use it. It's really easy to bump the temp up or down without intending to. I later read the instructions more thoroughly and realized that you can lock the temp setting, which helps, but if you hold the handle in the wrong place it will unlock again.Also, buried in the instructions, but discovered by accident, is the device has a safety feature whereby it shuts itself off after a half hour. I had walked away from it for awhile and returned to a shut off unit. This device does really work though, and if the manufacturer gets past the design flaw of the temperature control placement, it would be pretty perfect.

I have thick,natural wavy with lots of frizz hair. I just brush this through my hair a couple of times and my hair is smooth. I Love that it heats up really fast and easy to use. I have a hair straightener but it started snagging my hair after just a few uses and I always was worried about burning myself. With this the heat is at the base of the brush and the nubs are not hot so you still need to be careful but I find it to be safer.

Bought this for my daughter, who has naturally wavy/curly hair. I bought it thinking it would save her time for the days she wore her hair straight. This product does a pretty good job. It straightens, but not as well as a flat iron. The difference is a full, soft look instead of the sleek, flat look.

I have frizzy and curly hair. Sometimes I do not feel like blow drying after washing. That is no longer a concern as this totally does away with frizz and straightens my hair.

I like it quite a bit. It is a bit heavy and unwieldy at times, but all in all a good option for straightening my hair. I think I just need to get used to handling it, I occasionally hold it wrong and it's hot :) But it works great!

I have very thick wavy hair and this works great to straighten and smooth it out. This works so much better for my hair than a flat iron. I would highly recommend it.

It kept turning itself off even though I was not touching the buttons. I had to return this item.

I have fine hair and this didn't even work on my hair!
