This thing works! Got a few feet a bare pipe and need more heat? This is the answer.
This really does work, but it works best on horizontal piping. If you have some vertical heating pipes and you thought you might squeeze some additional heat out of them, don't do it. The useful heat output is marginal at best unless you can force some air movement through the fins.But on a flat pipe, you can't beat this. It's more costly than a couple feet of baseboard pipe from the plumbing supply house, but you can install it without cutting out the old pipe and the need to drain the system.
