These fenders are designed to fit a variety of bikes, and they do a reasonably good job of accomplishing that. To make them compatible with both 26" and 27" bike tires, the support wires are shipped long, and can be cut the proper length for your bike. But, be sure you have some very heavy duty wire cutters for this job. Given the width of these, they are best for narrow tire bikes, not "fat tire" mountain bikes. The fenders are made of a light weight plastic material, but it seems sturdy enough to do the job of keeping water and mud off of the rider. The support stays are designed to fit the threaded lugs above the dropouts at the back and front. Then they also fasten to the bolt that normally holds the caliper brake on the front fork and rear seat stays. Not all modern bikes have these features, so you need to check to see if your bike has these and will fasten the fenders properly. Also, many modern road bikes simply do not have enough room from the fork to the tire, so there's no place for fenders. "Old fashioned" frame styles work best.

The directions were not clear, and had to cut the cables shorter. Somehow I didn't expect the cables to be attached to the fenders with a plastic like material. I hope it doesn't breake. Other than that, I like the product.

I wanted a light weight good looking set of fenders for my Mongoose Crossway. These worked great with the bike.
