The patented Havahart Wireless Radial-Shape Select Small Dog wireless dog fence features improved communication between the collar and controller, resulting in a tighter trigger zone (3 to 6 feet.). This system forms a circular boundary from 40 to 400 feet in all directions, without burying wires. Fence setup generally takes an hour - set the fence boundary distance, program the collar's correction level and place the training flags around your yard. The system communicates continuously with your dog's wireless collar, tracking the location of your dog. The collar corrects your dog (tone or static, which can be customized based on the settings you have chosen). The system alerts you in your home if your dog has breached the boundary and the correction will time out after 30 seconds. For your dog's safety and your peace of mind, he will not receive another correction when returning to the Roaming area. Training your dog to a wireless fence is essential. Spend 10-15 minutes, 2-3 times a day for 3 weeks, as outlined in the instruction manual to ensure you and your dog know where the boundary is. Important: Wireless fences will not work for every property. Properties that are at least 30 feet from the road, and have minimal landscaping and minimal sloping, work best. Wireless fences will not work if your home has aluminum siding or metal outbuildings that cannot be excluded from the boundary.

I made a new collar. It comes on cheap strap that doesn't hold up well. Overall works great
Works great, even though i think it was previously owned. I took a chance and bought the cheaper one offered at that time "like new". We purchased this for our Staffordshire Bull Terrier. He likes to visit the neighbors too much and needed help learning boundaries.We ordered the correct sizing according to size on listing . The collar still was a tad small. I opened the seam and resewed the adjuster on it, and that worked for awhile. I'm giving 4 stars because the collar itself is very poor quality. Overall though this collar and shocking mechanism works as it says on listing.After awhile the thin collar it comes on really started looking tacky so I called Havahart for a replacement. I was on hold for over 40 minutes through a phone tree type service that didn't get anything accomplished. I sized and purchased a new collar myself and customized it to hold the shock part and it works wonderful. Pictures included. If anyone has any questions on how i made a new one, I'd love to help.

Do not buy
We have been trying to get this thing to work for a month. Well, that is too long. Item cannot be returned. Barrier is not consistent. Today it beeps, tomorrow dog walks right through. We've moved flags and changed every setting we could. If I were your only rating to go on: do not buy product.

Great system - Take time to set it up properly
About a month ago, I received the Havahart Wireless system for my small dog. I was happy to see it arrived in a neatly packaged box with everything clearly labeled. Plenty of instructions were included. You have to take some time to read everything thoroughly to properly set up this system. Since every property and dog is different, there are a few specifics that you have to be sure to accommodate for. A lot of people seem to get this and set it up to think it will work immediately without any customization. It does take some effort, but works greta once that is completed.Follow the very specific instructions. The company's website has some great information on proper setup of the system, too. The customer support team will let you call in for help if you need it. I've had a great experience with this system, and it is working beautifully. It took about 2-3 weeks to get it all down for my specific property, but was well worth the time.I have protection in a complete circle around my house now. I was happy to receive this item to review. The mild correction has worked great to keep my pup safe and sound at home, while allowing him to roam around in the yard to enjoy his time outdoors.

It has worked wonderfully. I am a little disappointed in the collar
It has worked wonderfully. I am a little disappointed in the collar. The plastic hook that holds the receiver on broke the second week. Mine is a small dog and I feel it shouldn't have broken like it did. Everything else works great. She has already learned not to go near the flags and I can trust her to run in the yard. We have a large yard on a farm and I was afraid she would get lost out in the crops. Now I can let her out to play without any worries.

Good idea, not consistent
My dogs were already trained on an invisible fence. The coverage of this seems to be spotty at best. Great idea, just needs to be more consistent.

Not happy with the batteries
The system works fine. However, we are having to change out the batteries EVERY 2 days. Very unsatisified about this. We can't even leave for the weekend without having someone change out the batteries!

This product is great if you have a fenced in yard. Or don't own appliances. And have no hills at all. Anytime the dog is near the side of the house by the kitchen and the vehicles, he runs away no problem, very upset with this product.
