This turned out to just be new product stiffness and they totally softened up during that first class. They are super comfy, much better than the class provided gloves. As for care, I wipe off the entire glove, inside and out, with anti-bacterial wipes after every class then lay them out in the sun with the velcro closures open. I do the same with the wraps I wear. I've read where you can put them in the freezer to destroy any lingering bacteria. I haven't tried that yet, but probably will when they are a few more weeks older.
