Adventurer Aluminum Survival Kit Box

all aluminum box, wall thickness is a hair's breath under 1mm. the black handles like things are rubbery, might be silicone? the top fits snuggly and the closure stays in place by friction where the handle things attach to the main part of the box. i'm not sure if that will loosen up over time.i lined mine completely with thick felt for cushioning small things i plan to keeping inside. that tightened up the lid up to the closures even more. :)it's a nice simple little box, the dimensions in the description are correct. and it arrived in excellent condition within a small box inside an amazon box.

SHAME ON AMAZON for distributing a product via a false listing.This item is much smaller and sub-standard quality. You can easily research the difference by searching for Best Glide's listing or visiting their web-site.I give it 2 stars rather than 1 star because it is minimally functional.

This is a nice tin that can be used for all sorts of purposes, though I suspect most will use it for survival kits. This tin is nice and roomy without being too big like some tins out there, much bigger than a altoids tin but smaller than the mess kit tins. Only downside is that it is not waterproof, there is no rubber washer on the lid to keep out moisture. That said, you can stuff it in a ziplock and be good to go!

Excellent compact box for small survival kit. It is highly water repellent almost to the point of being waterproof. In other words, if you hold it under the water long enough, the contents will be wet. After rain, splash or very quick dunking it did not leak with a ranger band around it for insurance. It shipped and arrived as expected.

It’s a decent size without being too bulky—super lightweight! This may not end up being water proof, resist rain and I feel like it will keep my tinder dry!

The two end clamps that are supposed to hold the lid down are loose and not tight enough. The two clamps should in a way 'click' into place. Box is a great size though for sandwiches (I use this for hiking so that my pbj's don't get smooshed).

The closer pieces are a little weak. If they were stronger I’d give it 5 stars.

It's a box. But it is also a survival tin. Use this for first aid kits and go bags for the whole family.
