Given recent good reviews, I took a chance that my globe would ALSO be a good one!
This is a good sized globe, and I really like the way it rotates two different ways. I purchased as a gift and was concerned that the package would come damaged, or the map on the globe would be messed up. I gave it 4 stars because there are a few areas where the lines don't match up so perfectly that you cannot see the break, but it certainly is acceptable. Given that we live in a small town and I don't know where - if anywhere - I could have even found a globe to purchase, much less look at in advance to check for problems, I am very pleased.

lovely globe
Such a wonderful large globe! It was hard to find one bigger than the average 12" size plus a full meridian swing without breaking the bank. The mountains are raised and everything is labeled so detailed -- almost to the point you can't see the lands beneath! I wish the oceans showed the topography and it seems a bit top heavy on my table (it has a hole in the base to screw it down). My kids are fascinated with it. I'm happy I went with this over one of the smaller smart talking globes.

Nice, but misaligned stickers
As others have stated, stickers are misaligned, and when country is split by different stickers, you can clearly see color differences. See pictures. Since I'm not going to need any precise measurements, I don't care much. But some artifacts are unsightly. For the price, it is still very good value, as there is nothing else available in the price range, hence 4 stars. We'll see how it holds up over time.

sloppy-none of the latitude lines match up (except the equator) some of the seams are very poorly matched.itd be fine if it were $50..but at $123 for a desk globe --even if it is 16"- unacceptable

A fine globe at a reasonable price
Large globe for a reasonable price. Rivals the prices I found for used globes that still show the Soviet Union instead of Russia for example, and it arrived in perfect condition.

Lines do not even match!
Second time and Lines STILL do not match up!!! Made in the U.S.A.? I would expect more! I would not expect to pay $140 for a globe and when it arrives open it to the disappointment experienced. I would not suggest purchasing this product.
