When I saw this book was on sale at desertcart, I immediately jumped at the opportunity to buy it. Since my mom used to read me poems from the book, I decided to record myself reading the first 30 or so poems from the book. Of the ones I read, they were in the same fun, catchy tone as his many previous poem collections.. These poems (and the illustrations too, of course!) were just as special and unique as the ones I had read more than a decade ago. I loved them, even as an adult! Needless to say, my mother loved the present as well. As a college student, I also appreciate the relatively inexpensive price of this beautiful hardcover book. R.I.P. I have a huge collection of Shel Silverstein's books. Children love to hear his poems. I first started buying these for my daughter when she was a child. I kept them, but I bought extra sets for her to read to her children. We will read them to future grandhildren (I hope there will be future grandchildren).
