OK but not great
Have been using this windshield cover for about a month now. I read where others had problems with the magnets scratching the paint so have been very careful putting it on and taking it off. So far so good.... but I haven't had to do it in the wind yet. I'm envisioning it being a wrestling match since the cover is SO big and the magnets are so small. The older kind of windshield cover that I have used for years had an elastic cord attached to each side of the cover that tucks into the doors. Then there was a plastic hook on the end of the elastic so that you could secure it to something inside the vehicle and run around to the other side and do the same. That system worked very well in the wind. I'm not real confident that the wimpy magnets will be much good in a wind. Had another realization this morning. We had rain last night and then it cleared and the temperatures dropped into the teens. This morning the flap that covers the wipers and extends out onto the hood was full of water and had sunk down into the depression between the windshield and the hood. About an inch and a half of solid ice had formed on top of the cover in the depression. It took some patience to get the ice pulled up without tearing the cover. Can't wait to see what happens when it rains and then snows on top of frozen ice.

MUST HAVE for the "BLIZZARD" Snow Season
I purchased this after it took me about 5 hours to get the snow off my car after 30 INCHES of Snow after the past blizzard. It arrived next business day. I was impressed with the packing, as it comes in a heavy Zip Plastic Bag. I thought perfect I can store it. WELL it had its OWN black "case". BONUS. I have an Audi, it fit over the entire front shield and had enough room for a bigger car / SUV. I like the heavy magnets that attach to the hood and the top of the roof. I have a panaramatic roof and I was able to still attach on the roof, sliding the front down an inch. It's super EASY to install and shutting in the door - slowly - gives you a tight fit. Easy way to help you "align" the cover. There is an insignia on the cover, use that as your guide for the CENTER where your rear view mirror is. I did that personally and it helped me, as a girl with little accessory experience I found that to be helpful for me. You might find it helpful too. Also closing your doors slowly will help with a tight fit. Just my personal experience. I used this for the 4 inch storm this week and I just peeled it away and my front shield was clean and ready to go. No more jacking up my wiper blades that are self storing. I wish there was a rear shied cover. I'm pretty sure this summer this will also keep the heat out, as black on black car gets pretty hot. I was happy to fold it up and put it back in it's case and it fits nicely on the side of my door or in between the seat.I would buy again from the sellers and I would buy THIS product. I did look at a few others, THIS one you want.-Prime Member / Amazon Addiction#CureTheBlueRibbon

Rain Sleet and snow, and we're not talking about the mail!
When looking for an item to use when a snow or ice storm was predicted,I cam across this item and thought, why not give it a try. I was so tired of taping plastic bags across my windshield and wiper blades, and burning gas waiting for the defroster to do its job. Let me tell you, this was the answer to my prayers! With six strong magnets strategically placed, installation was quite simple. I found that if I centered the cover then opened one door( preferably the passenger door) , inserted the side flap, then shutting the door with a slight tug and smoothing, the magnets would basically fall into place, thereby allowing me to open the drivers side inserting the other flap. After the snow storm we had, all I had to do was open one door slightly, and swoosh the snow away, leaving a perfectly clean and ice free windshield. I truly love the fact that I no longer have to cover my wipers with bags. How many of us have ruined our wipers by scraping that icy windshield? I used to replace mine quite often, now talk about a money saver! Another great feature ,what is that you ask, it can also be used as a sun shield , just flip it over, and get into a cool car.OK , so we just saved more money, two for the price of one, or is that three? So please, if you live in the northeast where the winters can be brutal, r down south where the sun can be too, try this shield, you won't be disappointed. Let me add, the customer service is something else. Where else do you get an email asking if your item arrived on time, with installationinstructions, or a follow up email, asking if you are enjoying your item!

Great product at a decent price!
I bought this as a present for my husband after reading the reviews. I figured he'd either love it or hate it, as the reviews are kind of all over the place. He has a 2016 Mazda, I drive an 06 Pontiac. This is just to give you an idea of what size vehicles we are working with. His car sits in the garage at home - I bought it specifically for him to use at work. We received some bad weather on Monday leading into Tuesday of last week. Since my car sits out, I got to use it first. I'm not a tall woman, at 5'4", I strain to reach the center of the windshield from the outside. I put this on by myself on Monday night with a rather brisk wind. I followed the suggestion to open the back door while putting the flap in on the first side. I had NO problems with this. It went on smoothly and stayed on. In the morning, I got up, shook the snow out, folded it up and placed it back in his car. He got a chance to use it later in the week as precipitation was expected. He had no problems using it either. I was especially impressed with the sewn in magnets as my husband tends to be a bit.....um, how shall I phrase it...careful about his paint. He was pleased with how well it stayed on, and that while the magnets didn't slide around, they weren't too strong for the application and the material could be smoothed out by gently lifting the fabric and moving it. This product is definitely worthwhile!
