Yiruma - The Best: Reminiscent 10th Anniversary Paperback – September 1, 2014

I wanted to get a collection of Yiruma’s beautiful songs in a book but this one’s a dumbed down version, not a real thing. It’s arranged for beginner players. If you are looking for an easy way to play Yiruma this would work for you. I returned it and searched the real notes online for free.

If you take a notice, Yiruma's "Do you..?" has two versions: the old original version (2005) and the new 10th Anniversary version (2012). The two versions are quite different.The "Do you..?" in this book is obviously the old original version, not the version of the album "The Best: Reminiscent 10th Anniversary". bought it for wife as gift. she plays it all the time. cost me 6,000 for a bigger piano she liked it so much.

It is not apparent in the Amazon product title but this is the easy version. If you were hoping this would be the same version as the album (as I was) you will be disappointed. This is a very simplistic version of the actual piano music.

I bought this Easy Piano Yiruma book several years ago and LOVE, LOVE, LOVE it. Now I'm to a more difficult level and would like more notes in the left hand, but can't find a book. Is there one?

Intermediate to advanced soothing piano sheet music. The pretty melodies are gentle and repetitive, not too tough to learn quickly/sight read. $14 is a good price for the product (even though I only like 2 of the songs, those 2 are really great).

The style of the writing does not simplify the music beyond recognition. It is still so beautiful and possible to play.

I now have an ability to play the music that u have found so wonderful on a recording. Size of music is large enough to be helpful for my diminished eyesight. Slightly expensive, but well worth the cost.

Having grown up playing the piano I had a long "hiatus" of not playing. I've been trying to get back into playing but don't really have the desire to sit and play Bach or Chopin all night long, so have been looking for other artists whose melodies flow. I came across Yiruma and decided on ordering it. Whilst I've not played through the whole book I've certainly enjoyed the pieces I've played, and based on the other reviews will enjoy the rest of the book. At a guess I'd say this is Grade 6+ but then it's been a very long time since I took my Grades in the Piano.

First thing you need to do is hack the spine off with a saw because it is impossible to play anything without the book closing on you. I am sick and tired of these books being sold with absolutely no attention to the fact that they are impractical. Clearly whoever publishes these music books has never actually tried to play from them. As regards the music, very mediocre and as others have said, not like the audio versions. I would return it but after breaking the spine in order to get some use out of it, I doubt it is in a good state to be returned.

I first got into actually enjoying playing piano (after trudging through the grades for the sake of it) through Einaudi, and through looking into various other contemporary pianists I was lead to Yiruma and I'm so glad I found him. Yiruma's music is much more melodious than Einaudi (yet Einaudi's minimalism and chord progression is also fantastic) and has a lovely soul behind the music.It is certainly more complex than Einaudi, with some pieces requiring thorough practise to do them justice. I would say players of standard Grade 5 and above can play a few pieces and as you become more accomplished you'll be able to enjoy playing the more complex pieces to boot.

The sound of magnificent talent! I would say these are easy for advanced and good to learn for medium skilled pianists! Inspiring melodies with great depth! They are easy to play but you really get the most out of it when you improvise therefore the difficulty level is fairly high! But the joy and fulfilment is very satisfying when you are in the swing.

Fantastic book and all the pieces are a delight to play. Most suitable for intermediates pianists, very enjoyable for advanced too.
