Love it—my mom in her 70’s loves it too
Blade is sharp it’s super light weight. My mother in her seventies loves using it to chop root suckers in her rose garden… she loves the light weight but its ability to cut even inch thick root suckers much better than the seventy dollar Swiss garden shears she’s been using 🤣I wish it had a sheath that could be mounted on a belt but I suppose someone sells one that will fit… probably I’ll make one out of kydex but I wish it came with a more usable sheath but the plastic handle sheath it comes with does a fine job for that purpose OTHER than for attaching to a belt or vest or whatnot.

Will always be able to get kindling.
Easy to see/find. Opens hard squashes easier than a knife. Great for cutting kindling twigs off of branches.

Nice backpacking axe!
A lot more expensive than what I've read people paying for these, but seeing as I can't find one anywhere else AND it's shipped international for free I can't complain much. That said, it's a fantastic little axe even at a high price. Light, handy, sharp, and a nice bright orange so it's much harder to lose! The sheath/carrier with multiple tethering/hanging options is really nice as well. The only complaint I could think of would be that the axe arrived packaged with the sheath NOT on it, but the condition of the box suggests the blade edge was damaged before shipping. Not a big deal; less than a minute with a stone and it was completely remedied. I bought it to split small kindling cut to length with a saw and do small hammering jobs; it's done fine for that and more!

Great size
Great size for fitting in a bag when backpacking. Very portable. Certainly not the lightest thing in the world, but its compact size while still allowing for a good grip makes it functional. The price is high, likely due the the economy of scale of such a niche product, but what backpacking themed product isn’t over priced? It fit my needs well, im very happy with it.

WRONG WEIGHT LISTED: Only 3.4 oz less weight than the awesome Fiskars X7, a real 14" hatchet!
I bought this little hatchet because I thought it would be nice and light. The weight is listed at 1 lb 1 oz (480 grams). But it actually weighs 1 lb 6 oz (624 grams)! My incredible 14" Fiskars hatchet weighs only 3.4 oz more and is an actual real sized hatchet.Cost is almost $70 for this imitation hatchet, while the large X7 is only $28. Same head. Same materials, just a little rip off on the price. :-)Literally the only thing this miny hatchet has going for it is that the overall length is 5" less. It's not more "compact", as the handle thickness and head are identical in size to the real hatchet. For 3.4 oz more you can get a real hatchet that has plenty of swinging leverage instead of a huge compromise in usability with almost no weight savings.
