Richard Dark Roux (2pk)

I was surprised at how good this roux is. Very similar to my wife’s roux (Louisiana native/Creole). It helps cut a lot of time when making gumbo and other dishes

My roux can out perfectly using this product and my gumbo tasted wonderfully.

When the two jars arrived (wrapped in bubble wrap) one of the jars was cracked and had leaked out inside the bubble wrap. The other jar was fine. The lid of the cracked jar was dented, but there was no damage to the box. I am left to believe that the jar was damaged prior to packaging. The roux tastes great, but Richard's should be more careful when handling the final product.

Stuff is great. Cajun buddy uses it. I always have some on hand because am am not a Cajun and don’t want to mess with making roux

Great for gumbo, 1/2 a jar makes a jumbo pot and the rest keeps well in the fridge. Magic secret to our families gumbo.

The instructions call for water to be added, but it’s too much water. So don’t add as much as directed
