Great IR flashlight
I really like this lightweight, IR flashlight for use with my digital NVG set up. This mounts to a helmet very quickly and easily with a flashlight mount. As for the features and operability, the 940nm means that the light is functionally invisible to the naked eye unless you stare at it. It appears as a small burning dot, offering a definite advantage over 850nm IR light. The zoom function is also a great feature, allowing you to flood a room or peer out to 100 yards with it.

Fills a specific role for Gen 3, maybe 2+ as well
It fills a spot between admin light and weapon light/illuminator. It does a good job illuminating "enough" without actually auto-gating the tube much, if at all.Definitely not bright enough for anything but gen 3, and maybe gen 2+.Expect a realistic maximum of around 25 yards at wide focus and maybe 90 yards at narrow focus if there is any ambient light at all, after that it just blends in with starlight on a clear day.It does not defeat photonic barriers whatsoever, but it won't auto-gate your tube much (if any) either.

Weak
This thing is weak and I mean WEAK! I read the glowing reviews and got sucked in. I tried this on my NV scope hoping for a little more range but all it accomplished was adding more weight to the rifle. The small IR illuminator that comes with the scope blows this light away and on only one CR123 battery. This flashlight on its own is barely noticeable it’s even on at the flood setting and on adjusted to spot projects a small square the shape of the led bulb with about 10 ft FOV at 50 yards leaving everything else black. At that the spot is only as bright as the scopes original illuminator that has a much larger FOV. All in all I’d call this light a novelty toy, it’s getting tossed

Does the job
Not bad for the price. Used on my HHV helmet for ir illumination with nods. Flood to about 25 yards. Focus beam is square and covers about 10ft at about 100yrds. Not bad for the price and does the job. The beam has a cross in the square and the center is shadowed out and that's the only thing I don't like about it but hey it's 20 bucks. No battery so you'll have to buy and if you unscrew the clip to put it in a mount the screw holes will let water into the battery compartment

Surprisingly good
I was shocked looking through my Gen3 WP PVS14's. This little this is like a spotlight for several hundred yards. Time will tell if it's built solid or not but my initial impression far exceeded expectations.

Works great with my night vision.
Works perfectly. Exactly what I needed. Lights up dark areas very well for night vision. Non-visible light. Awesome quality. Great price. Used 18650 lithium battery for it. Battery lasts long time.

Not what I needed
Love the size and it was easy to use. It worked and the light was very bright. Unfortunately, the red light is very bright, not faint at all like it was described. It also gets very hot very quickly, which is scary and not ideal.

1/10 the price of the "good ones" and it works
Honestly for the price, and that it actually illuminates is amazing. It shines out past 100 yards no problem. More than that I haven't tried
