I take melatonin as well, so I got this version without it to see how the other ingredients fared. I found I didn’t wake up as often through the night. That was definitely nice over the month I took these.The problem is - $40 a month is pricey. If you take away the usage of “proprietary,” and simply look at the ingredients, the price should be around $22-25 a bottle (that’s including a 14% profit margin, which is pretty good). Right now, comparing brands with comparable ingredients and quantity, but without knowing the exact production costs, average profit margin for Amazon’s top 3 bestselling non-Melotinin containing sleep aids is at the 13-16% range. As of now, Proper is close 28%, which is very high, dare I say prohibitively high on a monthly basis.Oh, and the pills in the bottle smell good (as opposed to most) but that’s because they actually have a scent packet and desiccator inside the bottle!Dear Proper: Cut down on manufacturing/production if your higher profit margin is needed to necessitate the fancy blue bottles. They’re nice, but not $40 with tax nice.
