It does have some seeds, but only a small number. It’s, in my opinion, the best tomato jam I’ve found. I used to LOVE Knottsberry Farm Tomato Jam but they stopped production of it about 20 years ago. I made my own a couple of times (it wasn’t bad but a lot of work!), and I tried some from a local apple farm, but it was limited production. Then I tried some from 3 or 4 producers available on Amazon. KKV is my favorite of all I’ve found! YMMV

Q: Is it jam or preserves

Hmmm. The big three are Jelly, Jam, and Preserves. How are they different? Jelly is totally smooth, basically juice and pectin with no visible or texture of fruit. Jam has a distinct fruity flavor and “bumpier” texture with small pieces of fruit / berries and smaller seeds present. Preserves have a stronger flavor of the named fruit and chunks of fruit ranging from “diced” to big chunks. This Tomato “jam” has a great flavor of spiced tomatos , and small tender bits....Delicious on bran muffins ...Jam? ....Preserves! I think that this falls into the “ to May toe vs to Mah toe “ debate. You can call it either and it’s still yummy! ;-)
